Connorbear
I would bring in Cain. I thought he did fine last year when Mannelly went out. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0831-story.html Peace

Pixote
I am curious what exactly happened. We may never know. However, I cannot believe this was planned. Why would they wait this long, after making the cuts to get down to the 53 limit, then turn around and cut the long snapper? Something must have happened that we are not being told. AZ54
According to Mark Potash via Twitter: https://twitter.com/MarkPotash #Bears have waived long-snapper Brandon Hartson. Not a big surprise after Marc Trestman expressed dissatisfaction with Hartson vs. Browns. ReplyReplied to 0 times RetweetRetweeted 0 times FavoriteFavorited 0 times Issues in the last game explains why we waited for final cut downs to make that decision. Once you get to that point you might as well see all that is available before making a decision. Biggs is saying we are signing Cain to be the long snapper https://twitter.com/BradBiggs "I don't have anything official or confirmed, but two people I've spoken to hear #Bears signing Jeremy Cain as new long snapper. Stay tuned." 4 Hours Ago from Tw
Pixote
Thanks AZ54 for the info & links. I am surprised they did not bring Cain to try out from the get-go since he had experience with them last year.
Mongo3451
It would so nice for a starting our backup center to have that skill. Snapping for kicks is nothing, but snapping to the punter is an art. (Used to do it) The luxury we had with Mannelly was awesome. I just hate using a game day roster spot for a guy that's there just to snap a ball.
