'TD'
Welllll....given the general disarray with how they are handling the 'off again on again' suspension of AP and all the other debacles of late and the general feeling that Goodell is losing his control of the NFL, someone may determine to circle the wagons. And if someone pops up on the radar, IE Marshall, they could decide to suspend him to give the illusion of dealing with the problem(s). With this rarely used "Exempt/Commissioner's Permission List" it would be a ripe opportunity to use it...again. Remember the NFL is about money. IF they don't address the hemorrhaging of money because they aren't addressing the problem, it will only get worse. BM did not do himself any favors. It was horrible to do the interview, but I think he is more valuable as an example of rehabilitation right now, than to suspend him over something years ago. He made an ill advised speech, but i don't think it will kill him. The only way it bites him in the butt, is if his insulting the lawyer brings her to push things further with him and not just against Goodell. This. The lawyer you refer to is Gloria Allred. Not someone you want hounding you. http://www.examiner.com/article/gloria-all...rns-into-a-joke http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014...stic-abuse.html

He insulted her and she may bring it to him.

If they suspended him again, the Players Union would scream bloody murder. They have enough players right now that have issues that they need to address. They will not suspend him unless there is some new violation on his part. Peace
madlithuanian
This is nothing more than a bit of a poor showing from Marshall. He will not get suspended nor should the Bears have to do anything. This was handled (or mishandled) back in the day. And, since nothing has happened in recent history, his deeds speak better than his words. Many of us here were worried when he was brought on board. Our fears were justified, but he's proven to have grown from back then. Only in CHicago are they making this a big deal. It's barely a blip on the PFT rader... The NFl will have to address the current issues. They are popping up left and right. madlithuanian
I live in LA, she get sinulted on a daily basis by a wide array of radio hosts... She's after Goodell and only used the Marshall story as basis that he's lacked backbone. And got her some TV coverage...which she loves. Brandon should have just stayed relatively quiet...but, since the cats out of the bag, cie le vie. There's still more coverage about his awesome plays on Sunday and how he's battled his demons. Exactly, her goal wasn't to hound him, but go for Goodall. He insulted her and she may bring it to him.

Honestly, I think he messed up and branching out all of his opinions. It woulnt have been a big thing handing out his packets and saying there are the true facts, not getting on the process and using himself as a reason the system is wrong and so on. His hheart was in the right place, his preperation was bad, and his timing was god awful.
