Upcoming Bears milestones

Passing:

Cutler needs 25 TD passes to pass Sid Luckman to have all the Bears all-time Passing records. During the Carolina game, Cutler (63rd) passed Bob Griese, Ken O'Brien, and Joe Theismann on the all-time yardage list. In the next few weeks he will pass Jeff Garcia, Jim Plunkett, and Jim Harbaugh. By the end of the season he will be close to 50th all-time in passing yards. Rodgers has 120 passing yards than Cutler. With 3 more passing TDs, Cutler will pass Kitna for 61st on the all-time list. He should break into the top 50 by the end of the year. With 38 more completions he will pass Ron Jaworksi for 54th on the list and will move into the top 50 in completions by the end of the year as well. Interestingly, Cutler has 107 more completions than Rodgers.

Rushing:

Forte is way behind Sweetness, and I don't think that rushing mark will ever be surpassed. However, Forte is only 15 yards from 7,000. He has a good shot at breaking the top 50 this year by passing Charlie Garner, George Rogers, Michael Turner and Terrell Davis. Forte doesn't score many rushing TDs, and is way down the list.

Receiving:

Marshall needs 9 yards to reach 3,000 as a Bear and tie Wendell Davis for 14th all-time. He should be near the Bears top 10 by the end of the season. With 38 yards he will pass Raymond Berry for 50th all-time. With 3 more TDs, he will have 31 and tie Johnny Morris and Curtis Conway for 5th all-time. With 62 TDs, Marshall is tied for 64th, and will in the top 40 by the end of the year. He is one reception from tying Dick Gordon on the team with 238 and 11th. He will hit the top 10 within the next game or two. Marshall is currently 40th all-time in receptions and will pass Donald Driver and Andre Rison with 13 more. By the end of the year, he will pass Michael Irvin, Charlie Joiner, Chad Johnson, Marshall Faulk, and James Lofton. Some huge names.

Jeffery is already putting up huge numbers and if he can keep it up, he is more than likely going to be the Bears all-time leading WR. He is already 30th in yards, and can be close to top 20 by the end of the season. 37 more yards and he passes Muhammad and 51 to pass Berrian. Crazy to see Knox there, man he really had potential. Just think of the Bears throwing Marshall/Jeffery/Knox/Bennett/Forte out there every play - wow. Alshon is currently 37th in receptions and should also challenge the top 20 by the end of the year.

Forte is already 10th all-time for Bears receiving yards and 2nd all-time in receptions (behind Sweetness). If he stays healthy and plays 2 more years, he may become the all-time leader in receptions (until Jeffery passes him).

All-Purpose:

Forte just surpassed 10,000 all-purpose yards, currently 131st all-time and is about to pass Earl Campbell. He should break into the top 100 of all time by the end of the year.

Sacks:

Jared Allen needs 4 sacks to tie Lawrence Taylor for 10th all-time. He also needs 1 to make it his first with the Bears.

Kicking:

Gould is basically 2nd behind Butler in every kicking category, but has a shot to surpass him. Right now Gould is 41st with 240 FGs and needs 26 to pass Butler on the all-time list (and only 4 for the team record). He will pass Chris Bahr for 40th with 2 more. Gould is 48th all-time in scoring and just passed Emmitt Smith; he needs 11 more pts to pass Mike Vanderjagt.

No prob, something a little more positive after the two losses. It also shows we have some great players on the team and are really not playing to our potential. I want to see the offense on all cylinders blowing defenses away and keeping them on their heels.

Forte broke 7k Rushing yards for his career and is now only needs 33 to pass Charlier Garner for 57th all-time. With 157 All-purpose yards, Forte passed Earl Campbell and 6 others to move into 124th all-time and only needs 4 more yards to pass Donald Driver for 123rd. Was Gould's missed XP this weekend his first ever?

According to Pro Football Reference, he has missed 3 in his career. He missed one last year after a long string that was nearing an all-time record. The one before that was his rookie year.

Marshall is now tied for 33rd in receptions all-time (764) tied with James Lofton and Eric Moulds. He should pass Chad Johnson and Marshall Faulk (31st) on Thursday. With 9,668, Marshall is 332 receiving yards from 10k and is now 47th all-time. Brandon is 17 yards from passing Antonio Gates for 46th all-time. With Cutler starting the season finale, he actually can hit some Bears single season passing records. He needs 173 yards to pass Kramer for the Bears single season record. With 107 yards he will also pass Jeff George and Joe Namath and move into 56th all-time. With 2 TD passes he will tie Kramer with 29 and 3 would make him the first Bears QB to throw for 30 in a single season. With 3 completions he will be move into 46th all-time and will add to his season record for the Bears which he already surpassed this year.

Forte is currently 52nd all-time in rushing yards and needs 44 yards to pass Chris Warren and only 13 yards for 1k on the season. With 11,357 yards from scrimmage, he is currently 67th all-time and needs 37 yards to pass Keegan McCardell. The most interesting record will be with his receptions. He is 6 from 100, 7 from tying Larry Centers for the most all-time by a RB in one year and 2nd all-time in Bears history. 8 gives him the record outright for a RB, and I hope he gets it.

Marshall ends the year 32nd all-time in receptions, 48th in yards, and tied for 50th in TDs.

Kinda funny that Cutler misses the mark for any of the Bears single season records with another lackluster game. Forte gets the single season record for receptions by an RB, passes Chris Warren for 52nd on the all-time rushing list, and Keenan McCardell for 66th for yards from scrimmage.
