Jim Bob Cooter

Cooter was arrested in 2006 for DUI, but he was arrested again for a more serious – and bizarre – offense in 2009. According to WVLT in Knoxville, Tenn., Cooter was charged with aggravated burglary after allegedly getting into bed with a woman after climbing into the window of her apartment and stripping down to his underwear. The woman called the police, who arrested Cooter, and he was released on a $10,000 bond the next day.

The Bears asked the Lions for permission to interview coach Jim Bob Cooter for the job of offensive coordinator, a source told NFL.com National Insider Ian Rapoport. However, the Lions denied the request.

Cooter was hired as the Lions' quarterback coach in 2014 after serving as an offensive assistant with the Broncos in 2013.

We're running out of options at OC. This is not good. Fox should have hired Shanahan the day he was hired..

Ya, we certainly seem to be scratchin the bottom of the barrel here. Perhaps old man Shanny might be iinteresred.

Rapaport said it would appear that Gace has moved on from Fox, so he doesn't appear to be an option either.

You know its getting bad out there when Lane Kiffon is a leading candidate for a OC position.

Please don't get "Bears forever" all riled up. It's not that bad. There is plenty of talent out there. Most of the 'known' candidates are currently already OCs somewhere else. Some may not want a lateral hire. Many coordinators were once positional coaches so give Fox his due. The guy has been around long enough to know who or what he needs.
