madlithuanian
I was at a wedding last night, and one of my wife's freinds came up to me all excited that a freind of hers was drafted by the Bears. I asked the name and she said Jefferson. So, I immediately knew he wasn't "drafted", but figured he was signed after the draft. I checked on line on my phone and found that to be true. She said he's an amazing and down to earth guy who is a really hard worker. She said he was beyond thrilled that he landed with the Bears. So, I feel like I've got a horse in the race and am really pulling for this kid to make it. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dspro...5&genpos=WR http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players...thony-jefferson http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/ant...rson?id=2552694

They work hard and have the desire to be better. That is a trait I think Pace is looking for.
adam
Wow very cool. He had a 5th to 6th round grade, so he has potential and could stick.

lemonej
I'll throw in that he was coached by Jim Mora Jr that was a former NFL coach and NFL defensive coordinator. That should help some.

madlithuanian
I spoke to my wife's friend last night, and here's some bits of info I got about Anthony.... She knows his dad from her youth. His dad, had aspirations of the NFL, but couldn't break through. His dad coached him positionally at high school at Cathedral in LA (see below). Anthony's a smart kid that earned his degree. He's a very hard worker. He was raised by his dad and stepmom with a really strong bond with his grandparents. He has strong family bonds with his siblings, parents and grandparents. When she mentioned that friends of hers that were Bears fans were pulling for him, he was really honored and excited and said he'd do everything he could to make the team. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_Hig...l_(Los_Angeles) http://www.uclabruins.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=207914112
lemonej
The cool cutsie stories end this weekend and its put up or polish up your resume. We seem to have a collection of bodies at that position so he needs to stand out in this weekend's mini camp.
madlithuanian
Man, talk about kickin' my sand castle! In all seriousness, I get it. But for me, I now feel like a have a person I can root for to make the team. If he doesn't make it, he wasn't good enough. If he does, it makes it that much sweeter knowing a little something more. I'll continue to make mention of anything I get through my wife's friend about Anthony Jefferson. Those who are interested can read, those who aren't can pass it up.
