When did we move Washington inside to DE? He was one of our fastest LBs seems odd to not take advantage of that at OLB.

 

Ya I agree...but he's also really strong and has the length to play DE, so who knows. Could probably play either position.

 

I also think we'll see Mundy out there over Vereen.

A HoF pass rusher is a backup?

The best DE from last year (Young pre-injury) is a third stringer?

Shea McClellin, who finally has a chance to play his college position is now an ILB?

I will say one thing positive, however, about the alignment. If Goldman starts as a rookie at NT beside Ratliff, we probably won't be giving up much rushing yardage on that side.

Ray McDonald was pretty damn good against the run himself. Even if you don't buy into PFF stats its still gotta say something about who he is as a run stuffer.

 

That's what I love about the defense on paper, they should be really good against the run.
