Pixote
Just read on ESPN he is out for the year with a torn ACL. What a nightmare, losing your 1st round draft pick for the year that fast. I hope we are lucky and do not have this type of thing happen to ANY of our players.

madlithuanian
To a degree, yes. Some injuries you just can't help. But, others can be avoided. Maybe that is why the Bears yanked Goldman and Fabio out of drills?
scs787
Ouch. I'm a big Gus Bradley fan, and it appeared their arrow was pointing up, this obviously hurts them. Not Fowler related, but I like reading the comments on the bottom of this link.. www.jaguars.com/news/article-JaguarsNews/%E2%80%9915-offseason-Position-by-position-defense/8f7e8981-cf1e-45bd-ad66-f044d766ff7c Few guys on there aren't pleased that Ball is gone. DABEARSDABOMB
Total bummer. Jags had been making a lot of good moves. Hopefully Fowler gets better quick and can recover and be the player the Jags thought he could be.
AZ54
...what I said about it being good to sign all of your rookies before rookie mini-camp. Jaguars are obligated now to "negotiate in good faith". While I don't know which of their rookies are signed, don't think the rest of them aren't thinking about this. According to Schefter, Fowler signed an injury protection waiver before the injury that "obligates Jaguars to negotiate in good faith." Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo reports that the DE is in line for a four-year, $23.5 million deal that's fully guaranteed.

I feel for the guy, that really sucks. About one of the worst ways you can start your NFL career. Crazy he didnt miss one game due to injury in college. ASHKUM BEAR
This! This here is the reason the contracts need to be signed if the player accepts being drafted. The pay scale is slotted and pre figured, so why not have a sheet a paper the player signs before he shakes Rogers hand. I am sure there is a little wiggle in the way the contracts are written, but they are basically the same dollar amount.
Stinger226
They weren't even having contact drills yet
Chitownhustla
They weren't even having contact drills yet 3 TE drafted by Denver just tore his ACL too. His was during SP Teams drills, just cutting in open field. I feel for these guys, tough break
