AZ54
We have players hitting players in training camp and I couldn't be happier. We'll have to see the results but after a decade or so of watching lousy tackling and less than physical play in the first few games of the regular season because Lovie and Trestman didn't like hitting in camp this is very welcome news. We have already had one fight and they weren't even in pads. So while I'm not promoting fights I am promoting the fact that you need to work hard to beat the guy on the other side of the line and that means taking it right up to the limit. There is only one way to test that limit. I can't wait to hear how the pads were popping in practice today. While he has casually dismissed this as part of camp I'm sure Fox is working to set the tone early in camp on how he wants his team to play and he'll reel it back in as needed later when guys are wearing down. Plus our GM is right there with him saying you can't find out anything about how tough a player is until they start hitting. Players have received the message. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0731-story.html

Living just 20 minutes away it is kind of a day to day thought of going. It is hard to access anything while there anyway since the crowds are usually full and getting a good view is hard. I may just wait until the week and take a vacation day. It is much more exciting with pads on also.

Stinger226
From initial reports, Royal, Ratliff, and McManis have stood out so far. I think they are counting on Ratliff to be a leader and stud DL, hope he can stay healthy.

Bears4Ever_34
Very concerned about White and the fact that our other top pick is out of shape. Not a good first start for Ryan Pace's draft class.
DABEARSDABOMB
Very concerned about White and the fact that our other top pick is out of shape. Not a good first start for Ryan Pace's draft class. Hard for me to get down on Pace for White getting hurt. He didn't have an injury history. That said, despite Fox being very odd around any specifics of the injury, they still indicate he is day to day. That said, I would hope White is in camp by the end of the week. Will be critical for him to get as many reps as possible.

I hate to think of the worst, but he's been out for over a month and still can't do much of anything outside of pool work. He's also a guy that can't afford to miss much of any time in the off-season because of how raw he is. This could set him back a year depending on how long he has to sit out. What's irritating is that he's obviously had a significant injury and likely had surgery. Why not just say that???? What the hell is a shin injury and why would he need to get in shape? Just state the problem so idiots like us aren't speculating.

The only thing that comes to mind on this, aside from a stress fracture, is shin splints. That's a common injury runners get and it takes some time to heal especially if it's gone to the point where there are micro-fractures in the shin. Since we know there is no issue with him riding a bike, or exercising in the pool this seems like a reasonable guess. http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/shin-splints http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/242169.php

lemonej
Just got back from TC and yes there was some crisp hitting and the highlight of the day for me was the RB vs LB pass blocking drill. Rodgers and Langford did decent but everyone else including Forte got manhandled. Carey was awful. He got knocked down and thrown to the grown several times. Other news Wilson still has stone hands, there looks like some pretty good competition going on in the secondary Ola was carted off the field and Fabaluje also left early and I'm not sure why but they took his pads off and he walked off the field on his own. I guess it may have been heat or conditioning related. He is a project in my opinion and a practice squad candidate.

Alaskan Grizzly
Fabaluje's injury was asthma related. Ola's sounds serious. This has some info on Ola. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0805-story.html Sounds like he wasn't hurt too awful bad. Another report had him walking around unassisted later during practice. Still concerned about White. Appears Fox is getting a bit tired of reporting on him either because he's being asked about it incessantly or because it's taking longer for White to get to the field than he (Fox) hoped. Cool to see that a couple of former players; Urlacher, Kreutz, Jim Miller and "Big Cat" Williams swung by. And that Virgina made a visit. ASHKUM BEAR
I made today (Thursday ) also. Beautiful day to enjoy. I will say the one player that impressed me the most on offense was Martellus Bennett. He is going to tear up the stats again. He can catch, has moves, impressive speed, and can also punish. Draft him in your ff if you have ppr.

Did you also notice he is staying close to Cutler and that he was split out wide quite a bit in drills? I noticed it Wednesday.
lemonej
Fabaluje's injury was asthma related. Ola's sounds serious. I found that out later in the day at home but,if it was asthma related no one on the training staff administered an inhaler. This was going on almost directly in front of me.With him and Goldman having issues plus White standing on the sidelines this is not going well right now for this year's draft class. ASHKUM BEAR
Did you also notice he is staying close to Cutler and that he was split out wide quite a bit in drills? I noticed it Wednesday. I did not notice from my view, I was on the southeast end on the bleachers. I seen alot of the defense lined up and the pass plays happen once the routes opened up. I think Denver moved Julius Thomas around a lot. Bennett will also eat up many looks Marshall got in go to situations. On defense, McClellin looked fluid in the middle. I wasn't impressed with his coverage though. He seemed slow at recognition and had to try close the gap. But on run plays, he shifted quickly to avoid blocks. I liked how Acho #49 was bringing the pass rush also.
