madlithuanian
The TD may have been on him, but damn, given his rookie status and lack of reps...the kid did well. I hope something to build on as we progress forward. Bears!
AZ54
Overall he held up well. Aside from the obvious missed blitz pickup early in the game I'm sure there some other gaffes but I have to say for a rookie against that Dline in that stadium he exceeded my expectations. When you consider all of his struggles in training camp he's come a long way in a very short time.
Chitownhustla
Really rooting for this kid to do well, like everything I have read and seen on him. Like the rest of this team, he should get better each week.
jason
As the President of his fan club, I approve of this thread. In terms of overall play, he probably had a B/B+ game. For a rookie at Center in his very first game, and at Arrowhead? A+!!
ChileBear
We need this kid to pan out, and I have no doubt that Long is gonna do his best to help a fellow Duck. Oline is where it all begins, the rest is gravy (Dline too!)

AZ54
Good start for the rookie, plenty to build on though. Here's a glimpse of why we drafted him. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...b2-87068cc4900b
BearFan2000
I really liked how as the game wore on he got better, especially considering the Chiefs specifically attacked the middle because of him. I also felt that our line particularly the Tackles held their own against two very good pass rushing ends. Jay had room to step up in the pocket and avoid the rush. I like that we are seeing little glimpses of improvement in various areas. And honestly I think the staff has gotten more out of the players we have to work with than I thought they would. Guest TerraTor
Can't argue here. Coming in against D.Poe not an easy first day at your new job...
DABEARSDABOMB
Agree - excited to see if he can take some steps forward and turn into the next Olin Kreutz!!! If one thing that could come of this season is find out Long is a probowl tackle, Leno is a serviceable RT, and Grasu has skills to be an above average center, well that would be a great thing. That said, Leno was pretty poor this week but it was good experience.
