scs787
Jaquizz Rodgers was placed on the season ending IR. Bears signed home run hitting Antone Smith. I liked Quiz, but I wanna see more Langford....and Antone Smith could add a a speed element were lacking. Think D'Anthony Thomas and the way he scored on the Bears yesterday. So I wonder what the connection is to Atlanta RB cast offs? In reading up on Smith it looks as though he left Atlanta on an "injury settlement" last year. Any word on what that injury was? He seems to be similar to Rodgers in some ways, not just from being a former Falcon, but does well in STs and is shorter (5'9") for a RB. He had a 4.33 / 40 in the combine so yes speed is his thing. Speaking of Atlanta castoffs, heard Roddy White is not happy and could be available just before the trade deadline. Edit: looks like I was a day late and a dollar short. He's changed his tune... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...his-whole-life/

They aint playing him because his skills have gone away

It's hard to understand why we're signing this guy. We have Carey and 3 RBs should be enough. Unless they aren't that sold on Carey but bringing in a 30yr old RB coming off a hamstring issue is not really a move with an eye toward the future. "Smith was a standout on special teams for the Falcons since 2012."

But a lot of comments, preumably from Falcons fans, say they really wish he hadn't left Atl. We may have a diamond on the rough if he stays healthy. Also saw that injury you mentioned and also broke his leg to boot.

If that is true about not risking Langford/Carey on ST, it makes me wonder if there is more to the possibility of a Forte trade than we realize. The Colts have nothing behind Gore. They would sign over their first born for Forte.
