They knew what they had in Claussen and knew he was not going to be a part of the team next year. Giving Fales the practice time and getting a closer look at him will help them evaluate his worth. I read where there was some outside the org. interest in Fales and the Bears brought him up to block teams(Guessing Ravens) from plucking him off the Practice Squad. Moderately interesting stuff if they think of Fales enough to block other teams from getting him. Must be developing. Either way, it is a good move. Jimmy the Pickle was horrible in relief and made Caleb Haney look like an All-Pro. I never would have thought he was as bad as turned out to be.
