Adam Hoge Bears Mock Draft

Not terrible. I would prefer to see a return man somewhere in there, but otherwise I could live with it.

Overall I like it, but I'm not a fan of Cash in the 2nd round. Feels like a pretty big reach to me. If he is looking for a S hybrid with range, wing-span, and crazy athleticism, I'd rather have seen Jayron Kearse in that spot.

I agree, Cash is the only head scratcher. but like the rest of the draft .

If you watch the Northwestern game like he did, Cash looked like a 1st rounder in that game. He was everywhere. Might be the only game of his he watched. I think Cash is a 2R pick, but I prefer something else in the 2nd.

I would not be opposed to a SS that can make a Troy Polomolu difference. I am not saying Cash or Killebrew are on that level, but if Donatell/Fox sees that type of player, take him whatever round. Early on, I wanted Cash RD2 myself. I watched one game, which he was suspended the first half and wasn't too impressed. Could have been bc he sat the first half?

I'm also not that enamored with Cash. IIRC what I was thinking that night, he's very good around the LOS but when asked to stay in coverage he seems lost. IMO, the way the game is these days it's hard to commit to an in-the-box safety, at least in the 2nd Rd.
