jason
Currently the Bears have nine picks: 1.11-1250pts 2.41-490 3.72-230 4.103-88 5.138-37 6.167-24.6 6.186-17 6.188-16.2 7.198-12.2 Here's my challenge. Come up with a trade back scenario based on another team's needs that would net the Bears at least 12 picks. The more complicated the better (as long as it's realistic). Then make your mock with those picks. Trade 1: CHI(1.11-1250pts) for STL(2.43-470pts, 2.45-450pts, 3.76-210pts) - STL feels the heat and trades up for their QB of the future but makes the big splash by not giving up their 1st. Trade 2: CHI(2.45-450pts) for PHI(3.77-205, 3.79-195, 6.170-23.4) - The Eagles don't have a second round pick and want to get in on the action. 2.41-490-Bronson Kaufusi, DE, BYU 2.43-470-Jaylon Smith, ILB, ND 3.72-230-Miles Killebrew, SS, S.Utah 3.76-210-Christian Westerman, OG, Arizona St. 3.77-205-Germain Ifedi, OT, TX A&M 3.79-195-Anthony Zettel, DE, Penn. St. 4.103-88-Tyler Matakevich, ILB, Temple 5.138-37-Scooby Wright, OLB, Arizona 6.167-24.6-Eric Murray, CB, Minnesota 6.170-23.4-Tyler Ervin, RB, SJSU 6.186-17-Cardale Jones, QB, OSU 6.188-16.2-Robert Aguayo, K, FSU 7.198-12.2-Dadi Nicolas, OLB, VT Game on! dawhizz
I'll give it a go. Obviously these are all subject to change based on how we address FA needs, but simply filling out the roster at this moment, here's what I do: Trade #15 to Rams for #15, #76 (3rd) and a 5th next year - Rams move up to get Jared Goff, a Cal QB for the their new Cal team. Trade #41 to Jets for #51 (2nd), #119 (4th), #157 (5th) and a 5th next year - Jets move up to snag a sliding Derrick Henry Picks: 15) Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State - Immediate starter at either at LT or (my preference) at RT and slide Long back to RG. 51) Su'a Cravens, LB/S, USC - Try at the Deone Buchannon spot at ILB, but might fit at OLB or even safety. Start him wherever he's going to help the most. 72) Scooby Wright, LB, Arizona - Chris Borland 2.0 sounds good to Fangio. 76) Pharoh Cooper, WR, South Carolina - Immediate return man and sub package receiver who can wreak havoc on a defense focused on Jeffery and White. 107) Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State - I like his arm, athleticism, and leadership and think he can develop into a starter. 119) Matt Ionaidis, DT, Temple - Hard working prospect who ooks a like a potential day one starter at 3-4 DE to me. 150) Devon Cajuste, TE, Stanford - In a bad TE draft, I draft him as a TE and have him bulk up a bit. Should be able to contribute as an H-Back while he gets more comfortable with blocking. 157) DJ Reader, DT, Clemson - Big body to back-up Goldman at the nose. 188) DeAndre Washington, RB, Texas Tech - Undersized but underrated scat back from a pass-happy offense, so he can catch and pass block pretty well. 207) Justin Simmons, S/CB, Boston College - Has the size Fangio likes in the secondary and is a sure tackler. 209) Ian Seau, LB, Nevada - Not quite his dad, but has some pass-rushing upside to develop. 278) Daryl Worley, CB, West Virginia - Another big body for the secondary. Make your trades and picks! Trading out of the first is not a good idea. I would trade back and then grab Ragland who will probably still be there down around 20. By trading back we should be able to get that teams first , maybe a third and 5th.

I think this draft is seriously missing an ILB. Even with Trevathan, the ILB position needs attention.
ASHKUM BEAR
The reverse-Ditka trade! I think this draft is seriously missing an ILB. Even with Trevathan, the ILB position needs attention. I think Deon Jones or Scoobey Wright would be the ILB in a 3-4 defense. The websites we all use make it difficult sorting through prospects. Yeah, I was thinking Wright or Jones potentially there, but they are listed as OLBs.
