AZ54
Osweiller signs with Houston. Do the Bears get really bold and pull off a blockbuster deal sending Cutler back to Denver? and sign who?
DABEARSDABOMB
Where did the Giants get all this money. Big CB signing, sign Snacks, and now this. Tons of money. @RapSheet 2m2 minutes ago For Olivier Vernon and the #Giants, I'm told it's the biggest defensive end deal in history with the most guaranteed money
DABEARSDABOMB
and sign who? This would be the presumption you are stockpiling picks and think you are more than a year away (so you'd also draft a QB).

jason
Olivier Vernon gets $85M over 5 years — WOW — with $52.5M in guarantees That's WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overspending for a mid-tier DE who may have upside. Teams can get a "6-8 sack per year"-guy for much, much less.

Havent looked that up yet to see how true that is.
scs787
JWebb Nation still alive. Signed a 2 year deal worth 6.5M.....And you guys said he would be out of the league years ago. =p

The last two years he played G, maybe he isn't as terrible at G as Tackle.
scs787
I'm just pointing it out for Shits and giggles. Took a lot of crap on this board over him.
AZ54
I was most surprised by the Ravens signing Weddle for $26mil, $6.5/yr. That just doesn't seem like something that organization would ever do. On another note: Malik Jackson's deal has him with a cap hit of $10mil this year but after that it's about $15mil/yr. Next year Trevathan's deal has a cap hit of just $3.5mil. Therefore in 2017 for the price of Malik Jackson the Bears will have acquired the services of: Trevathan, Hicks, and Massie. Or if we prefer to stay on defense: Trev, Hicks, Freeman, and kept McManis around.

Not sure why you would hitch your wagon to Webb. He was terrible, I can only think of one Tackle worse and that's John St Clair.

scs787
Still making multi millions in the NFL so he must not be that bad. My whole argument way back when was he was slightly below average with potential to be slightly above average.....well he just got paid slightly above average money. So =p Anddddd I'll stop. He is not starting in Seattle. Good for him he got better and made some money. If you hitch a wagon to a guy, maybe pick someone with more upside. He was not very good then, and has grown a little, I dont think that is saying a lot.

Or, maybe, there is s very limited supply of people his size, and he's just a shinier turd than other turds? Maybe he's just a great locker room guy with all the intangibles and interviews well? He did go to a great academic college after all.
scs787
RGIII to the Browns. Probably takes them out of the QB market at #2. San Fran might be the only team taking a QB in the top 10. I wonder if they might keep Goff in Cali leaving Wentz there at 11. Even as a Cutler backer I might have a tough time passing on Wentz. I still think they might even take Lynch. I think they are serious players at QB and it is a wrap if one of Goff / Wentz is on the board. I could even see Pace moving up a few picks. I've heard from a few people that he's very high on both of the top QB's. Either way, we are taking a QB somewhere in the 1st 3 rounds, you can book it, and I think it will be earlier than the 3rd. I also don't think them signing RG III means they don't take a QB, but I could be wrong.
scs787
I'm still on the fence and would prefer they not, but at the same time I wouldn't bash em if they did take a QB. Might bash em if they trade up to so though.

I have read he likes Wentz and if he makes it to our pick, I think he takes him. But as far as the other two, there are going to be over drafted because they are QBs. I have read one scout rates Wentz a first rounder, Goff a second rounder and Lynch a third. A lot of mocks have everyone under the sun drafting QBs because of need, but it will be later than people think.
