ASHKUM BEAR
#Bears have agreed to a 1-year deal with Marc Mariani. Welcome back, @marcmariani80! ?⬇️ https://t.co/VEZxvrKkyn
ASHKUM BEAR
I think when it came down to him as one of the only WRs healthy enough to play, he stepped up and looked good. No dropped passes. The guy could give Royal a run at the slot.
'TD'
Glad to see him back and hope he stays a WR.
dawhizz
Meh. Personally, I'm of the opinion that if he should only get snaps at WR if we have multiple injuries at WR, and should only get snaps in the return game if the apocalypse is imminent. At least it's not a multi-year deal.

At least it's not a multi-year deal. Maybe I am biased because Royal was a ghost. I seen some Wes Welker clutch plays from Mariani and maybe he puts up better stats if they went to him earlier. Either way, one year deal, so I am sure he is cuttable if it comes to that.
scs787
Yeah, very meh. I'm sure it didn't cost much though.
jason
Good signing as long as he never sees the field in the return game.
adam
No issues with this signing. He was actually a fairly reliable target for Cutler when all the injuries hit, and he should be better in year #2 with same QB and system. I didn't mind him with punts but we were better off with him taking a knee on kickoffs.
Stinger226
Good signing as long as he never sees the field in the return game. He is just a guy, if something comes along better, his one year deal is going away. If he is the worst WR on you team, probably not that bad. AZ54
I don't mind the signing at all as this is how you fill out the bottom end of the roster but I put him in the same group I put Ducasse last year. I hope he gets cut because it will mean we have someone better on the roster. Mariani said WR is what he wants to be so with some other teams interested in him my guess is that the Bears agreed to keep him there to compete for the last spot. There is always the chance another year in the system helps him play better.

That means he starts training camp as the #5 WR with an improved Cameron Meredith likely to make the team. Course if anybody gets hurt, we'll be thrilled we had him. Every one of those you guys listed; Jefferey, Royal, Wilson and White were hurt at some point in the last year or two. I'd say at least 50% of that group will be hurt again. Smart insurance signing. He's clutch and reliable.
