If their offense is anything like when I did film study on Bushrod a few years ago, they loved keeping a TE in to help block on the vast majority of plays. I'm guessing with Hills ability in that department they kept him in to block while Watson was the receiving TE. Could be a situation much like Bennett in Dallas where for years they just used him as a blocking TE and then he went off in a bigger role. Agreed and Jimmy Graham was there prior to that with Cooks and Colston in the mix not enough balls to go around.

I think it takes longer for them to read and understand NFL defenses, so they are either WRs or extra blockers starting off. Once they get up to speed and coaching can trust them, they can become the multi-dimensional TE. I also think we have a solid TE core if the Saints do not match. Housler was a 3rd RD pick if I recall right, he should be able to get in the mix also. Lee is still raw but we thought highly enough of him to make a trade. I wonder how many TEs they will keep? I would think Housler would be out if they draft TE high.

Housler highlights - I think if all four are in camp; Miller, Lee, Housler and Hill it'll be Miller as the pass catching TE and the rest will have to be able to show their worth with blocking abilities. Personally I see Lee losing out.
