dawhizz
I'll go first: 1. Most underrated prospect? - Sean Davis, S, Maryland - If you leave him at safety, he has all the tools to be an above average starter 2. Most overrated prospect? - Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana - I know he tested well, but I don't see much dominance in the games I've seen. 3. Your favorite day 3 prospect? - Eric Striker, LB, Oklahoma - I don't know where he plays in the NFL, but he produced every game in a big time conference for a big time team. 4. Projected 1st/2nd round pick most likely to fall to day 3? - Jeremy Cash, S, Duke - I know he had a ton of tackles, but one-dimensional safeties don't impress me much. 5. Surprise 1st round pick? - Christian Hackenberg, QB, Penn State - Maybe not a shock, but I think someone in the late first, maybe in a trade up from the 2nd, takes him. 6. Your bold Bears draft prediction? - Bears take Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson in the 2nd. He doesn't fit he perceived size requirements for Fangio, but I think he falls out of the first round and the Bears can't pass up the value. He's still bigger than our current nickel back. 7. Guy you don't want the Bears taking in the first? - A'Shawn Robinson, DE, Alabama - I don't see enough of a difference between him and someone we could get in the 2nd. 8. Who should the Bears take in the first? - Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida - He's the corner who's not Ramsey most ready to contribute right away and I think he'll be there, but I don't think we take him. 9. Who will the Bears take in the first? - Shaq Lawson, DE/LB. Clemson - A fairly safe pick who can bring something the Bears need.
ASHKUM BEAR
1. Sheldon Rankins DT - We have are eyes on a 2 gap DT, but Rankins could be a steal as an interior pass rush 1 gap DT. 2. Laquan Treadwell WR - I think he gets over hyped because the lack of top WR talent this year. 3. Deiondre' Hall CB/S - Northern Iowa DB that has the tools to become a starter. Comparable player Peanut Tillman! 4. Su'a Cravens LB - Undersized and ran slower that thought, slips to rd 3. 5. Keanu Neal S - I think he goes 1st RD, 3 weeks ago he wasn't even on my radar. 6. Paxton Lynch QB - Bold, this is it. Pace see the moxy, athletic ability, and size of a franchise QB. 7. Laquan Treadwell WR- even though he is a product of the area, WR is the only position I would throw my beer against the tv for. 8. Jack Conklin OT - If he can in fact play LT, bring on his mean streak 9. Sheldon Rankins DT - fits a need, Clint Hurtt knows him well. madlithuanian
I'm a blithering idiot regarding college players, well and other things as well... But, I'll try... 1. Dan Vitale - FB - blocking issues, but could be a big TE threat 2. Jared Goff QB - When the guy played anyone good, he played poorly. He's just a mad bomber. Could be the big bust. 3. Vitale - see above 4. Jaylon Smith? too much concern over his injury, but someone's bound to reach and grab him 5. Whoever Dallas takes! 6. William Fuller ND WR - Alshon issues? 7. Fuller 8. Bosa, but he won't be available..realistically, Jack. I just love me soem LB when it comes to the Bears 9. Lawson We're about 36 hours from the big night. AZ54
We're about 36 hours from the big night. Let's do a quick speed round for those who follow and are interested. Feel free to answer whatever you want: 1. Most underrated prospect? Brandon Allen QB Arkansas 2. Most overrated prospect? Su'a Cravens 3. Your favorite day 3 prospect? Dan Vitale 4. Projected 1st/2nd round pick most likely to fall to day 3? Jaylon Smith 5. Surprise 1st round pick? Christian Hackenberg enough raw talent and QB desperation that someone will think they can fix him. 6. Your bold Bears draft prediction? Bears trade up a couple picks for DeForest Buckner 7. Guy you don't want the Bears taking in the first? Derek Henry 8. Who should the Bears take in the first? Assuming we stay at #11 and assuming the top 8 talents are all taken then I'll go with Jarren Reed. I'd much rather fix the interior Dline before any other need. 9. Who will the Bears take in the first? Reed
jason
1. Underrated? Scooby Wright. I don't care how he tested. Dude can play football. 2. Overrated? Eli Apple. He's way overrated. He's grabby and doesn't see the ball. 3. Favorite day 3? Jayron Kearse. I've been a fan of his for a while. All he really lacks is the mental game. 4. 1st/2nd falls to 3rd? I'll go crazy and say Nkemdiche. Maybe the GMs are scared off by his lack of production. 5. Surprise 1st? Connor Cook. Every year QBs are way overvalued. 6. Bold Bears prediction? The Bears go for a TE early. 7. Don't want in 1st? Ezekiel Elliott. My thoughts on this are known. The Bears need several other positions much more, and Elliott is not that much better than other prospects. 8. Right choice? Ronnie Stanley or Vernon Hargreaves III. Honestly, I don't know WTF will happen tomorrow night. I can see a scenario when Stanley falls. Otherwise, VGIII is the most likely answer. 9. Probable choice? Shaq Lawson. Stanley wont fall, and there is a chance Conklin is gone to the Giants before us.
