scs787
I've been quiet about Floyd because I thought they were set on OLBs, but if they did take one, he was the one I wanted.....I'm OK with this.
dawhizz
Wtf, no reason to trade up Giants would have taken him. Still don't like the pick.
jason
What was I saying some time ago? http://www.talkbears.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=156167 I don't think it's the right choice, but they were searching for Von Miller. The trade up was unnecessary. The trade up made sense for a guy like Tunsil who shouldn't have been there at 9. NO way. All that said, I think it works for the Bears. He's explosive. Bears4Ever_34
Sigh... Why did they trade up?? I thought they were going to take Hargreaves..
bradjock
Giants would have taken him. Still don't like the pick. We gave up a 4th round pick to move up 2 spots. If we believe in the guy, I'm good with it.

I thought they were going to take Hargreaves.. www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2016/04/who_is_behind_leonard_floyd_on_the_giants_board_gi.html According to this the Giants really liked Floyd. Not sure why the link didn't work but it said the Giants had Floyd on top of their board.
jason
Big reach by the Giants.
dawhizz
One thing I'll say about Floyd is that he played full-time LB so he's better in coverage than someone like Lawson. Plus we can still take advantage of the depth at DL to find a starter there.
Lucky Luciano
either this tunsil has BUST tattooed on his forehead that was the freaking PICK!!!!!!!! we don't even have an AVERAGE left tackle and we pick a linebacker over a potential pro-bowl LEFT TACKLE. i am going to puke. i guess jerry angelo called this one in. this is a serious STRIKE ONE on pace. what an idiot. oh well, here we go again. ASHKUM BEAR
Big reach by the Giants. He needs to be a 12 sack plus guy for this to be ok by me. If that happens, I will be happy. Just never seen him as a top 10 player. Hope I am wrong nowm
Alaskan Grizzly
Yessssssss!!!! Wait....Leonard who? Well at least he's an edge rusher.
scs787
Aldon Smith only had 3 sacks the year before getting drafted......in Fangio I trust.

Pretty much how I feel about it. I think trading up for Tunsil was the homerun pick. No way he should have been there at 9. No freaking way. But if Floyd ends up being a stand up triple, I'll be OK with it.

Lets face it , we have no idea on this turns out, but they traded up for him, so they must think he can be the man. Now time will tell if they were right. I didn't want a LT but I gotta admit, seeing Tunsil there at #9 I'd have been thrilled with it. Now that he's sitting there at #12 . . . something ain't right. We wanted an explosive playmaker--specifically a speed rusher. Floyd is the best in the draft. We thought Giants would take him. Considering they reached for Apple and really didn't need a corner . . . I believe it.

adam
Can someone tell me how Floyd is any different than McClellin (when McClellin was going out of the draft)? Floyd is taller and lighter, ran similar 40's. Floyd's NFL comparison is Eli Harold?

Aldon Smith had 33 and 1/2 sacks his first two years, so they must think he can be him. He is faster than smith was but has to put on some weight. needs to be 250.
