jason
NFL.com grades have been pretty damn consistent with the spot players are being drafted. It makes me feel good to think Pace is finding value. Below are the averages of all picks, and the value of the Chicago pick(s). The ones that are highlighted are the highest rated pick in the respective round. Other than the 4th round, the Bears are easily above the average. RD 1: AVG-6.27, CHI-6.5 RD 2: AVG-5.86, CHI-6.1 RD 3: AVG-5.53, CHI-6 RD 4: AVG-5.42, CHI-5.1, 5.2, 5.4 (AVG-5.23) RD 5: AVG-5.29, CHI-6.1 RD 6: AVG-5.22 (through 15 picks), CHI-5.
adam
Yeah I noticed that NFL.com grades were much more accurate this year than I can remember in previous years. Kwiatkoski (5.1) and Bush (5.2) were our lowest graded players and no player was shorter than 6'0".
adam
Braverman 5.47 in the 7th.

Yeah and then add these three to the haul: Roy Robertson-Harris, DE/LB, UTEP, 5.5 Draft Grade (5th round grade) Ben Braunecker, TE, Harvard, 5.2 Draft Grade (5th to 6th round grade) Kevin Peterson, CB, Oklahoma State, 5.1 Draft Grade (6th to 7th round grade) Based on just draft grade averages, we had the best in the division: Chicago - 5.7 Minnesota - 5.5 Green Bay - 5.44 Detroit - 5.

AZ54
Drafting 101: Would you rather have Tavon Austin in 1st Rd http://stlouis.cbslocal.com/2013/04/25/ram...on-austin-at-8/ http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/tav...stin?id=2539336 .... or Daniel Braverman in Rd 7? http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/dan...rman?id=2556144 Austin is a little quicker and faster but neither of these guys will ever be a #1 or #2 WR.
