It seems silly for this to take this long to sign a contract when the pricing is already determined, but I suspect the last year of the deal can delay the end when they may not agree on the option 5th year.

Well now on to the pud Jeffery for the final piece of the puzzle to be finished.

He is making almost 15 mil and that isnt good enough for a place to start, I just dont get it.

15 million is alot but when others are signing for 5yr 60m, there is more negotiations to do before giving your leverage for free. He will be around for TC.

Depending on how you look at it, both sides can make a case. Are we paying Alshon on what he is fully capable of (top 5 WR) or where he has landed every year (top 15). There is a big difference in money from #4 and #9.

I can think of about twelve receivers of the top of my head that are better than aj. We should be passing him like the top twentish receiver he is.

He keeps his habit of being anti Fox, he will find himself gone after this year. Fox wants team players here and he follows the same path as Marshall and Bennett with the meme attitude. Now if he has a stellar year, that will benefit him but headed down the wrong rode with staying away. If he has a good year, will deserve the money,if not he will be losing his ground on a great contract.

We have a lot of cap space next year. I'll guess that Pace is willing to pay a bit more in guaranteed money early in the deal in exchange for being able to walk away early if Jeffrey's bad workout habits and injury issues continue. That gives Pace a couple years to see if White becomes the stud WR he was drafted to be, as well as finding a #2 WR that can get on the field every week.

I think AJ wanting top 5 money is insane. He needs to show more consistency, health, participation, and better attitude to deserve top 5 money. The only guys who get away with negatives and still get top 5 money are absolute unstoppable monsters.

To win big, you gotta think big! I really think it hinges much on White. Then, it needs to be determined if White's success is due to also having Alshon out there...

If we move Alshon, we'll need a replacement...

Or, Gasp!, trade him for big value while you can? Maybe if he starts ripping up the early season, start dangling the idea that he's on the trade market?
