Pixote
There has been some concern expressed to the Admins of the forum about avatars being used by some posters. There are posters on the forum who have young children who either read posts on the forum or are present when the parent is reading posts on the forum and are uncomfortable, for various reasons, for them to see avatars of a sexually provocative nature. Being the father of 5, grandfather of 9, great grandfather of 3, I can certainly understand. The Admins therefore would certainly appreciate if forum posters would consider less sexually explicit avatars. If a registered member of the forum would like to do so there is also another option. If you click on "My Controls" (control panel) at the top of the page then: Under Options on the left hand side click on "Board Settings: Under Board Display Settings there is an option that you can use so that the avatars of posters will not be visible. (Do you wish to view members avatars when reading topics? Yes or No) There are many who visit the forum who may not be registered, this option may not be available to them. Please let us know if there are any questions. Thank You!
ASHKUM BEAR
I never knew about turning off the avatars or images. I appreciate that tidbit as I do most of my reading on a 4" phone screen and that will keep scrolling minimal.

adam
You can also do the same for signatures, so for those at work or on mobile, the site is much easier to navigate.

I view this as a group of adults and no longer have small children never even gave it a thought. For all the years I have been on here, I have never had anybody complain but many say positive opinions. I apologize for not being user friendly, this is the first I notice your thread and would have pulled it the first time anybody complained. Im not a bonehead, just past the young children years in my life. When my grandchildren visit, I am to busy spending time with them to think about being on here at the same time.
