HUGE dusappointment...

Plain and simple...I do not like what I see.

No identity.

No soul.

No talent.

No wins.

The coaching is poor.

I just find myself where I felt with Trestmans' last year... No hope...

I stand defeated as the Bears are... Embarrassed.

Yes, as all our rivals like to say, the Bears still suck. I have zero expectations for the remainder of the season.

Must sadly agree. They are just all-around bad.

They are a 3 to 4 win team if they are lucky. At this point, I'm just hoping we get to see the young players develop and that this is the end of Cutler's career in Chicago.

Peace :dabears

I try to find reasons to be optimistic, but last night was a big slap in the face. I hate to say it but the offense seems like it a boat adrift on the water with no paddles. They have no identity. What are they trying to do? It is not a running team. They are predictable and do not seem to be able to adjust to the flow of the game. The offensive line is a mess, therefore Jay is getting beat up and now is back to is old habits of bad mechanics and bad turnovers. The only bright spots on the whole team are the play of the two middle LBers. They are totally into the game, but the rest of the defense is a mess. They invested in the OL and the front seven and they have both been failures so far. Two games does not make a season, but is sure does not look good so far. I think in a few games the OL with fine some continuity and maybe when McPhee gets back, some pressure. ( if he ever gets to play).

I thought they were a 7-9 or 8-8 team this year so this is all not a surprise but now lets just play the young guys, get a high pick and draft a frecking QB and go forward with the rebuild. We need to remember this team drafted terrible for many years and you do not change that overnight. The core of the team show be the drafts from 3 to 5 years ago, and Jeffery is the only good player from that era.

So play the young guys, get a high draft pick, find a QB prospect and next year, things will look better going forward.

Plus side:

the two middle LBers

Hall seems to be a player

White seems to be starting to get it.

Also we would probably be a better team with BM,MB, and MF on it but our future was be a year or two away from being gone.

We didnt win anything with them on it, so I am buying in on remaking the roster, and next year should show better signs of who we are.(it aint right now)

Jay is at his best when he's got a running game. Jay is not a guy who can do this all by himself. This team right can't run the ball which forces Jay into doing things himself. When that happens we see those bad decisions and bad mechanics. We do need a new qb but we also need help at oline and other play makers on offense. I won't judge white yet. This is essentially his 1st yr. And remember he came from a school where he wasn't asked to run the entire route tree so it's going to be a learning curve for him. He might not break out fully until he gets a year under his belt. Unfortunately that could be stunted if we can't find a qb for them to gain continuity

Well said Stinger...

I have really tried to have my glass appear half full...but from what we saw last year, what we've been seeing in thepre-season and these last 2 games...we are rudderless.

Time to hire Dave Toub as HC...

Your assessment of the bright spots regarding Hall and our MLB's are spot on. I'm still not sure about White. He appears to be a WR3. He has some hope to be a WR2. Not a bust, but certainly not impact like Coleman...

Sadly, I still think we need a pass rusher... Floyd looks overwhelmed in the NFL so far.

Every QB is better with a good run game and good OL. jason has preached that for years. But, it is also the QB...Jay just can't seem to get out of his way. There's always an inopportune turnover. Always. And about 3-4 balls that somehow don't get intercepted per game. I've had enough. Next man up.

My bigger concern is with the coaching staff. They look completely overwhelmed as well.

Pace...dunno. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but his 2 first round picks look like guys. Not stars. We'll see...

Ok I'm sorry clearly you missed my point. No where did I say Jay isn't the problem. Clearly he is part of the problem. Now there are some QBs out there who can do things without the benefit of s running game and solid oline. Of course every one would benefit with those but my point is we have known for w very long time that the only way Jay can succeed is with those. So fault is absolutely on Jay. But also the front office who paid a very handsome price in order to acquire his services and failed to surround him with the necessary talrnt to succeed. Its now been 8 yrs and the front office keeps screwing up regardless who is in there. Why is that? Do they honestly think he can do it himself? A player is also much easier to train and coach when they are young. Well when he was young he had Hester as a top wr and bad oline. I think that stunted any possibility of him learning. And now it's simply way to late. Jay certainly is a problem along with everyone else. I'm becoming more and convinced that rvrn if we had Joe Montana in his prime that we wouldn't know what to do with him.

Those two high picks should be stars out of the block but most the time that doesnt happen. We seriously have to give it 3 years from when they were picked to evaluate as hard as that is.

I think White will show better later in the year, and I think unfortuately Floyd is going to take a couple of years to grow as a NFL player.

Sorry, I did get your overall point...it's just for me, what's happened in the past no longer matters. Jay is who is is now. And that QB is not one that will take us the distance. I want the potential for that at minimum.

I do agree w/ your Montana assessment...

Right now, Chicago is still a dysfunctional organization.

We are so far past dysfunctional right now. Pisses me off as I know it does everyone else
