Connorbear
From the Tribune: Silver lining: Saturday's loss at least temporary pushed the 3-12 Bears up to No. 3 in the draft order for April. Because of strength-of-schedule tiebreakers, the Bears will pick behind the 49ers (2-11) and Browns (1-13). With one week left in the season, the Bears can't move any higher on the draft board. With a win next week over the Vikings, they could drop as low as No. 6 depending on what the Jaguars, Jets and Rams do and how their respective schedule strengths sort out. Browns 1-14 (.564) - @ PIT 9-5 2. 49ers 2-13 (.513) - vs SEA 9-5-1 3. Jaguars 3-12 (.546) - @ IND 7-8 4. Bears 3-12 (.520) - @ MIN 7-8 5. Jets 4-11 (.492) - vs BUF 7-8 6. Titans ~ Rams 4-11 (.538) vs ARZ 6-8-1 The best scenario for us is obviously a loss, a SF, JAX and NYJ win. The NYJ win would also help our 4th rounder from BUF. If we can tie SF, we would at least swap with them for subsequent rounds. A Jags loss locks us into at worst the 3rd pick in every round. A win and we shouldn't fall below 5th because the Rams SoS is a lot higher than ours and the Week 17 opponents have similar records (and if we win we actually make MIN's record worse, thus lowering our SoS). So I still believe we are locked into 3rd to 5th with a potential best to tie SF (unlikely due to SEA) and rotate with them every round for the 2nd pick. I don't know these details that well. Picking 3rd would be great news after this miserable season.
Chitownhustla
3rd would be a amazing. For that reason I see the the Bears winning and everyone else close losing. Its what the Bears do so well. Maybe another 3 or 4 guys can hit the IR and make this impossible.

Give him a little veteran respect and let one of the young guys play.

Stinger226
If the Bears draft #3, I'm going to be very happy. They're almost guaranteed Garrett or Allen. They simply need to draft the BPA at 3 and those are the two names that one should be there. If Cleveland draft Garrett with the first pick, does that set up a potential trade scenario for a trade at the 10 th pick? I think if we got one of there 2nd and there 3rd picks, I would do it. At 10 we still could get Adams/FS and all the extra bodies the trade would give us.

If not, Allen can't be passed.

ASHKUM BEAR
I would love to be able to trade down and still get Trubinsky. Gotta vibe on him... As much as I would love to see a premier defensive end or OLB added, QB should be the Bears top priority. Trubisky's name will be at the top of the board, but Clev and SF will be looking hard at him too. The Bears invested high in White and have a steal in Howard, it would be great to finalize the trifecta with a QB to go forward with. Yes there may be drafted in the top 5 but there talent and upside is maybe first round status. There is potential 3 starters out of this class, Trubisky, Kizer, and Watson. They all have big question marks for that high of a pick, but the position merits over drafting. I dont think any are franchise type QBs but they could end up being good starters down the road. I think we draft the BPA with the first and 2nd then get a QB prospect in the 3rd or 4th. Someone like a Falk or Rudolph.

My intial thought is Trubisky looks the part, but I will wait until I start seeing final grades. Pace seems to know his QBs if reports are correct about him targeting Marriotta and Wentz with trying to trade up for them. If the Bears are serious about the position, round one is where you start the process. The top two may go before we pick, then you look further down. Question marks have surrounded every 1st Rd QB in recent years with the one exception of Andrew Luck. This year Trubisky and Kizer are no different and there is zero reason for anyone to think NFL history will not repeat itself with both these QBs going top 10, if not top 5. 2016 Goff #1, Wentz #2 2015 Winston #1, Mariota #2 2014 Bortles #3 overall 2013 EJ Manuel went #16 ouch 2012 Andrew Luck #1, RGIII #2 2011 Cam Newton #1, Jake Locker #8, Gabbert #10 2010 Sam Bradford #1, Tebow #25 (yikes) 2009 Stafford #1, Mark Sanchez #5, Josh Freeman #17 2008 Matt Ryan #

I wouldn't say he knows his QB's, just realized or the people reporting the rumors realized, that Cutler isn't the answer. Basically he supposedly tried to trade for the second QB drafted both years he's been in Chicago. If the rumors are true, it shows he knows a QB is needed, not necessarily that he can judge and find a good one. I'm still hoping the guy is fired myself. madlithuanian
I see more bad. 12 losses vs 3 wins... And they played with no heart this past weekend. killakrzydav
I saw on NFL. Com this morning that we could still get the number two pick if SF somehow beat Seattle and we love to Minnesota.
