  1. 1. No trade partners available, no QB graded out as worth the #3 pick. What should the Bears do?

They're sitting at #3 and nobody will trade with them. The QB they want is not graded out as worth the #3 pick, but they're not completely sure he's going to be there at the top of the second round.

As George Thorogood said I stand alone (ok, he said he drinks alone). We are either grabbing a QB this year, or next year. Either way it's going to expensive in terms of draft picks. Next year I don't anticipate we'll be picking in the top 10. We might as well trade back into the 1st and grab someone like Kizer if he's still there, or take Watson.

I think Garrett and Allen go 1 & 2. Cleveland has been open about their Garrett crush and SF may take Allen to bookend with Buckner (and Allen will rate the highest player by alot imo) or trade back a little and still go QB. That leaves the Bears looking at Fournette or Cook at RB who will be rated top 10. Peppers who won't fit the scheme. Then Derek Barnett OLB, Jamal Adams S or Humphrey CB who are all interesting.

I really think the Bears go QB unless one of those top two to fall.

You can't just pick a QB regardless at #3 because top 5 picks do not come around often. If we have a QB rated in the top 10, then you pick him at #3. If we don't (or they are already selected) you take the best player available.

Picking a QB at 3 when he rates out as a late first or second is what gets GMs fired. You will find a prospect worth the valve where you pick them. Last year it was Goff, Wentz, and lynch. They all may prove out to be good, but anybody see a franchise QB among them, probably not.

Not having a QB of the future on your roster after 3 offseasons can also get a GM fired.

Great point. Look at how much was given up for some of those guys. Hell Goff was drafted extremely high and he was barely even made available to play this year. Which is probably one of the reasons that Fischer was fired last week.
