I dont really like a first round drafted QB but it all makes sense.

The only position not really addressed is OT position.

Who is Aaron Lemming ? If I remember correctly he is a guy that knows someone on the inside at Halas Hall and a few years back he broke a couple leads that came true. Does he have any other background tied to the NFL?

I have followed his twitter feed and deleted it because he doesn't know what he is talking about. I am asking this to see if anyone knows his background and not to dismiss his off season plan.

He is the bear report report and in general seems to have had about as good a read on what the Bears have been doing / are planning on doing as anyone in the media has had over the past couple of years.

He is an actual Bears reporter that is at Halas Hall for press deals?

He runs the bear report (blog) but has legitimate press credentials, etc. At least that is my understanding. So I will use the term "blog" loosely. He is actually from California so I don't know if he lives here and works remotely or what, but he is about as in-tune with the Bears as any reporter I've seen. Easily the best follow on twitter in terms of "insider" Bear info.

Aaron lives in Ridgecrest California. His work is all remote, but he does really good work imo. He also writes for Scout's Bear report which I follow from time to time. I think his access comes from Jeremy Stoltz who is in charge of Bear Report and gets press credentials to get first hand access.

Why would we sign a 31 yr old DE, not address OT until the 5th round, sign a FA TE and then draft another, then draft an RB?

I think we can do better than that.

He is just giving his assessment of what might happen.

He put a very complex view of it, I dont agree with all of it, but he did a good job.

He may have taken a TE in FAgency and then drafted Butt, because potentially Butt may not play this year due to an injury, so he covered both bases.

There is very few good OTs in free agency and if you do not take a OT in your first two picks, all you are drafting is a prospect at that position. This year is a weak OT class.
