Alaskan Grizzly
Apparently for the next 6-8 weeks. Eligible to be back in time for season finale I hear. Will this be Kyle’s last year as a Bear? https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-bears-kyle-long-injured-reserve-20181103-story.html
Stinger226
I think that depends on injury and if he ends up needing another surgery this off season. Truth is with Mack's big money kicking in next year they may choose to let him go depending on well Kush playing going forward. He will make 8.5 , if we cut him only a 3 mil hit. DABEARSDABOMB
It is going to be interesting to see how he can get back. Hopefully the Bears do their thing and remain competitive and/or ensure post-season play so Long can do his thing and get back and crush it! I can see it: Kyle comes back and provides the blocks for Howard and Cohen to take us to the SB. But, I'm worried about his ability to come back time and again. DABEARSDABOMB
I hope Nagy tells Cohen he needs to stop going backwards. Cohen is explosive, but we need to channel him better. Those negative plays can really hurt.
AZ54
This far into his rehab this is good news. If true then in another week he should start showing up around practice doing light work.
Stinger226
It will matter for the OL if he comes back.
BearFan2000
getting him back at the end of the season and in time for a playoff run is big.
DABEARSDABOMB
Would be great....not just for the team but for Kyle Long.

adam
I would be great to get some work in before the playoffs. Even if it is just for a few series. Conditioning is going to be the issue. Hopefully he can knock off some rust and get some game time in versus Minnesota.

I hadn't thought about it but it's entirely possible there is some type of custom orthotic inside to help his foot injury.

IMO, every player should have them.
BearFan2000
Would be awesome to get Kyle back in time for the playoff run. Hoping Jackson can also be back in time. All in all we have been relatively injury free this season as opposed to the mash units we've been rolling out there the last several seasons. Kyle should make an impact on our run game. DABEARSDABOMB
I'm hoping we stay healthy these next two games (and keep momentum rolling) but also that we can get Long back for Minny (just to get some rust off) with everyone ready to roll in the postseason. AZ54
Kyle Long practiced today. We'll see what tomorrow brings and if he's able to string together a couple days of work that's a very good sign. https://twitter.com/kfishbain/status/1076192177317994497
