Stinger226
QB- Trubisky (hes progressing on schedule and should have a breakout season 3900 yards, 32 TDs, 13 interceptions, 411 rushing, 5 TDs) Daniel (hopefully no more than 1 or 2 games) RBs- Howard(useful productive, has a role),Cohen (a star rotation RB), Mizzell ( I don't get it) Nall( future rotational) WRs- Robinson(a #1 that will star as offense progresses), Gabriel ( solid speedy #3), Miller ( future star), Wims (rotational with upside). TE- Burton (as offense progresses with have bigger role), Shaheen (jury is still out), Braunneker and Brown will be back as backups OL- Leno( unheralded NFL starter), Daniels ( future pro bowler), Whitehair (solid 10 year starter type), Long (injured past star), Coward( future starter), Whizmann ( compinate backup), Sowell (good dancer backup). I think Hunt becomes a bear after a 10 game suspension of which he has already been credited with 6 this year being out of football. We need OL help. We draft 1 or 2, promote Coward to starter, add Dejon Allen off the practice squad. We add one more WR , possibly Tanner Gentry or Jordan Williams-Lambert off futures list. Connorbear
Hunt wasn't suspended by the league. He was cut by KC. He will serve a full suspension (whatever that is). Peace
Stinger226
I read that the league will consider his time out of football as part of his punishment. I heard, he may have to serve a 6 game at the most.

If I were running the players union and they tried to do otherwise I'd be challenging them in court. If I'm not mistaken that's what happened in the past and they came to an agreement that the exempt list was in effect a suspension. He's missed 5 regular season games and two playoff games. This is not technically a domestic violence case but will likely be viewed within that punishment framework. In that case I think the baseline suspension for a first offense is six games. I don't know where this fits in with his past as I"m seeing reports of other issues of fights with men but no details. That appears to be back in his college days. I believe the league has viewed other's past events as part of their evidence in these situations so it'll be interesting what suspension they hand out. I suspect they'll at least want him suspended for the first week or two of the season but how far can they stray from the baseline first offense of 6 games? Was reading this article last night which talks about a few potential ‘adds’ to the team for next year. Among them OT Isaiah Prince from Ohio State. The article calls it a long shot at the Bears first pick buried in the third round but still food for thought. https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-bears-robbie-gould-kareem-hunt-20190117-story.html At any rate, the reason I read the article was more about the interest in Hunt; which personally I don’t get. Sure I understand the whole NFL player ability and the exciting offensive dimension he brings to the team but at what cost to our team’s reputation? One that many here have lauded not only for Nagy’s keen ability at building up but also for Fox in establishing the groundwork in solid high character veterans and rookie players alike. The charge that Hunt faces from the ‘altercation’ probably was not a DV related charge but more along the lines of a ‘simple assault or battery’. DV would more apply if the young lady involved was a co-habitant or long term girlfriend/wife etc. A true DV case would be one of more recency involving Reuben Foster. A player many of you here wanted nothing to do with because of his assaultive history and character. But I digress. One other thing to remember from this incident was when Hunt originally was confronted by KC staff about it he either outright lied or was very deceitful; according to earlier reports. Legally a few things appear to need be worked out. Although he was not originally charged in this event it doesn’t mean he won’t. According to this article Ohio law allows a two year statute of limitation on misdemeanor charges and six on felonies. https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/11/30/kansas-city-chiefs-kareem-hunt-hotel-video-released-key-legal-points Another compelling thing about it (and raised by the article) was how did the NFL not have the video evidence that TMZ eventually ended up with? Sometimes you have to wonder what kind of operation Roger Goodell is running. It has a lot of flaws with him behind the wheel. In recent history Hunt has as many as three incidents involving assaultive history counting this one and going back to June of last year. There is no ‘speculation’ as to whether these things happened because Hunt has admitted to some and apologized for others. He also has sought alcohol and anger management help as a result of some of these things. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2018/11/30/18120089/kareem-hunt-chiefs-hotel-assault-nfl-suspension-released-updates Is it enough that Hunt has owned up to his recent mistakes that we give him a pass at the expense of our team wanting to get to and win a Super Bowl? And HOPE he doesn’t make a ‘mistake’ and hurt someone or worse? For me the answer is ‘no’. I think a player as talented could be found elsewhere either in the draft or hidden in someone’s practice roster.
BearFan PHX
Also, we are likely to trade Howard, so you have to consider that they will have capital to include another player, maybe on defense though. Last year I said the WR corps would be completely revamped and everyone disagreed. Now I say Howard is probably gone.

Otherwise, he'll be let go once his rookie contract is over.
Stinger226
Folks, we're not trading Howard. He will cost 800 thousand in his last year. We will add another RB and have a smaller role for Howard. If you noticed at the end of the year he was more effective. The best we may get is a 6th probably a 7th. Explain how that is worth trading him.

ASHKUM BEAR
I think we have a shot at drafting Bryce Love RB Stanford. He suffered a late ACL injury and will not be able to workout predraft. He was a potential 1st RD pick this last draft but he opted to stay in school. His game style fits what the Bears want to do, but he probably won't ge to the field until Sept/Oct. I know RB is not a huge need, but getting another dynamic playmaker can have an impact. It will come down to who's available at OT, S, and CB too.
ASHKUM BEAR
Have to bring a highlight clip. A lot was from his 2017 season, were he was electric. He shows great vision and bursts through holes. I think he makes a pretty good complement to this O if the medical staff think he can be that same player as the clip shows.
