Alaskan Grizzly
Cool ‘behind the scenes’ story on how the Bears acquired Mack. Also note towards the end of the story how on day one while at practice Mack was already displaying his leadership skills. Freakin awesome. https://www.chicagobears.com/news/how-the-bears-acquired-all-pro-khalil-mack
adam
Very cool. It's amazing that they were working the phones and social engineering Oakland into the deal. "Yeah you don't want that headache, he will cost too much, and we will be bad for several years, so you will get a bunch of top 10 picks". BearFan2000
It is very cool, it shows the commitment Pace has when he sees an opportunity to improve the team and has strong conviction. It's a stark contrast to what we've had in the past, vs where he is relentless and worked on the Raiders GM and Naggy worked on Gruden. They had to move quickly when window of opportunity opened for Mack to be traded. I like the aggressiveness and for a player like Mack who's a generational talent and a great teammate it's hard to pass that up even at a high cost. Without his diligence Mack would have been somewhere else wreaking havoc on opposing offenses and we'd be left thinking what if.

Bill
He's the whipped cream on top of the Sunday, pun intended, that Pace and company have created. Now it's time to but the cherry "Mitch" on top and let us all enjoy
BearFan PHX
And let's not forget that we got Oaklands 2020 second rounder in return for our 2020 first rounder. If we do well this year, and our first rounder is low, and the Raiders suck, and their 2rd rounder is high, that pick might only be a trade down of a few spots, which is almost nothing. So really we got Mack for a first, a third, a sixth, and a trade down of a few spots on our first rounder in 2020. Not too shabby at all. And not two firsts by any means. Great point and a very likely scenario. We should at the very least go deep into the playoffs making our first near the end of the first round, and the Raiders are the Raiders and will likely suck making their 2nd about like having a low 1st.
