Mongo3451
3-0 baby! And the defense doesn't have a damn thing to do with it. Our offense has done the work as our defense totally underwhelmed me. Through this start, the offense is leading their opponents in yards, points, 3rd down conversion % and time of possession. The defender was supposed to be a strength, but is has not shown yet. Whether it is the long drive or the big play, they keep getting gutted. A few things I have noticed: The pressure is there, but nobody is getting there! The result is this; QB has time to make reads and throws. DB's can't cover forever. In the run game I've noticed 3 things. Aside from Hicks, the d line is getting turned at the point of impact. Their shoulders must remain square to the play. Danny Trevathon is done! I watched him on consecutive plays yesterday get blocked five yards from the hole. And the hole was to his side! He got blocked so badly Roquan couldn't get around him in time. It was sickening. At this point, I would start anyone over him. Tashaun Gipson doesn't want to tackle anyone either. He could have prevented that long running TD yesterday by hitting the back as he was cutting to the pylon. He instead, put the brakes on and chased him to the end zone. (Huge pussy) All said, Chuck Pagano needs to go. Where are the blitzes? I miss Roquan going up the middle on that bullet blitz. What about the corner blitz? I pray Fangio gets fired and we can hire him back. He taught assignment discipline and toughness like Pagano has never done. This defense has been neutered and Pagano is to blame. Now, is that the angriest 3-0 rant ever, lol!? It's only because I'm seeing that this team has a chance to make a run, if the defense returns to 2018. adam
I agree that the defense has underwhelmed under Pagano. There is zero creativity. Regardless of the defensive scheme, Mack and Quinn should be getting sacks. Right now they have a total of 2.5 in 3 games. Hicks has 3.5 to put that into perspective. A huge disappointment for me has been RRH. This dude was set for a decent payday and is playing himself into a league minimum deal. He has 4 total tackles in 3 games, 0 sacks, 0 TFL. He has literally done nothing. Bilal Nichols is not far ahead with 5 tackles, 0 sacks, 1 TFL. I know everything thinks Trevathan is the weak link on the defense, but based on production, right now it seems like the weakness is RRH and Nichols. Lastly, the only reason the offense is leading the opponent in anything is because of the defense. We still have a top 10 defense and a bottom 10 offense. Man, I miss a D that dominates, dictates and destroys.

Give them another week and things will be clicking a bit better. And they really need a good NT right now.
Stinger226
The defense has shown some highlights but I think the first 3 games are like the preseason that we would normally go thru to get there shit together. I see people out of place, DBs are waiting for the RBs to hit the 3rd level instead of attacking the runner. I think we will see better play going forward. Trevathan played better in this last game. I think the last game we were in a nickel so much it was difficult to stop the run and with missed tackles that is the result we ended up with. Colts are geared to run and Rivers throws to his TE and RBs most of the time. Rivers has 1 fumble and 4 interceptions so far this year. I think the defense keeps everything in front of them and will make a better show this week. The Colts have an awesome line but they have not been running over anyone and has given up some sacks. This is a very winnable game and everyone should play better this week.
