Pixote
I just watch highlight films on five QBs (Fields, Jones, Lance, Mond, & Mills) posted on bearswire.usatoday.com Highlights of QB prospects the Bears could land in 2021 NFL Draft It was nice in that they had all five on one page,. I must admit, although I am leery of Lance, his tape was impressive. This kid is a dual threat. I don't know his 40 time, but he can haul ass. He pulled away from defenders chasing him I was also impressed with his downfield throws.

Agreed, which is why, along with his limited starter experience, I have been leery of him. Highlight films, by definition, never show the negatives. Before I start, I would still prefer a QB like Mond in a trade down late 1st early 2nd over Lance even at pick 20. Lance's inexperience brings up bile (Mitch) when I think of us drafting him. However, If Lance has good speed, athleticism against FCC, he will have the same speed against FBS. If he is capable of throwing accurately downfield against FCC, he will be against FBS. The problem is, will his receivers be as open? FCC and FBS are two different animals. However, the FBS is a totally different level than the NFL. So do we discredit a FBS player because he doesn't have NFL experience? So one can only speculate how a player might progress to the next level. That is where experience is important. Something Lance has a limited amount of. Thus the reason I prefer not to draft Lance.
