Connorbear
We weren't going to the playoffs anyway. Get him healthy for next year. All that matter for the rest of the season is the development of Fields. Peace
DABEARSDABOMB
Yep - what Connor said - get him healthy for next year or trade a healthy version of him in offseason.
ASHKUM BEAR
Not sure this trade worked for either team. Fields better be the dude and the Bears better never trade a1st rounder again unless its trading down for more picks.

I don't know if they were thinking about 2022 when they had a chance to trade for him. They have an out after next season if they don't trade him. Injured players are very tough to trade, so if anything, I can see him as a cut/trade candidate after next season.

They believed they were in a good position for the next three years and took a shot. The Rams are doing the same thing this year. The Bears were wrong and did not have the team they thought they did. We'll see if the Rams are correct. It's starting to look like Stafford is who we thought he was.

The pattern this team is in over the past 15 years needs to end. Throwing multiple picks at players has not worked. I would now rather draft Mark Anderson pass rush specialists over and over instead of dropping huge coin and draft capital for that final puzzle piece.
