Im curious - can you guys do one where you keep the #1 pick and take MHJr, and still take a good QB no later than #11 and see what else you can get? I'd love to see how much value you guys can squeeze out of that scenario?

I could, but won't.  I'd never pick MHJ with the first pick.

Used PFF.  Still hate having no 2nd, but that is Sweat, so it is looking good.

very cool - thank you.

I was just wondering what kind of draft hauls people could get while not trading the first pick. I see a lot of incredible drafts where we get 7 first rounders next year and all that, and Im wondering if that kind of magic is available in these draft games if you trade down the 5th (or whatever) pick but not the #1 overall.

I do admit that no player, QB, MHJr whoever is worth 7 2025 firsts. So if that really is on the table in the real world, you gotta take it. I dont think it is, but these draft games are fun, and Im just wondering if you can get a haul in the game without trading the #1.

I think the Bears can move down if they can see past Williams.  I would love for Maye to blow up the offseason to keep him in the top 2 names so Daniels, McCarthy can be taken at 5 to 12 and even Penix 15 or after. Nix will sneak into rd 1 too for the 5th year option.

all good points. I agree with all of it.

I really need to do my offseason film time before I can have a real opinion on these QBs, but right now, I think Williams is overrated. I am especially worried about his being only 6' 1" - but maybe thats because all I have right now are stats, and I havent seen much film, and no all 22 yet.

To me, the player to wonder about with the #1 pick is Marvin Harrison Jr. - even if he is the second coming of Randy Moss (not saying he is) I'd still trade him for 3 firsts and a player at a position of need, so maybe it doesnt even matter. If the haul is big enough, you gotta look at it, and that is in line with what a lot of people on this board have done in these simulators.

On the other hand, having Randy Moss and DJ Moore is gonna make any rookie QB a lot more comfortable.

Brock Purdy looks great, but he also has great receivers getting open too.

I love your mock drafts, thanks for the time and effort you put in to post them for us.

I do have to say, in several, I see you have Daniels as a mid to late first-round pick.

I truly expect him to go top 5, possibly to New England.

I even saw one 'guru' (can't remember who) say he was #2 QB, with Maye @ #3 QB.
