MurcieOne
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3173002 Would Martz consider working for a former assistant? Would his scheme work here? Would it be too much of a culture shock? I dunno.
kyyle23
Martz would run himself right out of Chicago with his lack of attention to the run game. I doubt Lovie would make this move.

Lack of attention to the run game????? He doesn't have a RB. Have you forgotten what his running game in St Louis was? In his sleep he could put together a better running game than anyone on this staff could.

Yes he has Marshaul Faulk who will be in the hall of fame, but don't forget that whenever Faulk would get injured he'd plug some guy you've never heard of (I can't remember their names . . . they are likely out of the league now, but I remember they helped my fantasy teams). It wasn't so much about the running backs, but the fact they had the best left tackle in the game in Orlando Pace, and at least two GREAT wide Receivers in Isaac Bruce and Tory Holt. IMO, if Martz were given this offense he'd look bad. Either way, I blame the majority of the Bears offensive woes more on the personal then on the coaching staff. Heck, even this season, when Kevin Jones was healthy, they put together a series of games in the middle of the season where they were running the ball fairly well. That said, I'm fairly certain Cedric isn't a Martz type of back. He'd have to go. Oh wait, that would be a GOOD thing too! I'm done with Benson. BigDaddy
Tell me you don't like Martz because he's a prick, or you don't like the way he parts his hair but to sit there and tell me that one of the BEST OCs in the last 25 yrs couldn't win here? If that's true, phuck it, this team is beyond ANY hope.
