adam
Andy Dalton, Old QB1 Revenge Game. He just lost to his first team, CIN this week. CAR gave up 34 pts to CIN. CAR has a bad defense and a bad offense, and an overall worse team than LAR. They have allowed 47, 26, 22, and 34 so far. Their defense allows 35 pts on the road. Every team has scored at least 3 TDs against CAR this season. I am calling it now, Bears 31-16. CAR averages 18 pts a game and allows 32 pts per game so far thru 4 weeks. Defense now has 2 weeks of Andy Dalton tape.

The Bears need more talent in the trenches and getting a couple IOL/DL is a must.

CAR is 6th right now according to Tankathon, so a loss would keep them in the bottom 5 and the Bears with a 2nd rounder between 33-38. If both teams sort of stay where they are right now, the Bears would have a pick between 15-22, then the Panthers pick between 33-38, then their own 2nd between 47-54. So 3 picks in the top 55, need 2x on the OLine and one on the DL. The Edge position looks solid with Sweat, Taylor, and Booker. Dexter had another sack, and if Billings can stay at the current level, the DLine is surprisingly good.
Stinger226
On X lots of people mentioning that LA had a terrible D. I reminded them they were coming off a win over SF. Any team can beat any team in the NFL, many examples of that. The goal is to win and I dojnt care if its pretty or not. Carolina is not a good team but they are capable of beating us. We just need to win.
adam
Shaq Thompson, arguably the Panthers best defensive player is out. That will make a bad defense worse.

This feels like a "trap" game. Hopefully Bears are ready and make real progress. Would be nice to see them play their most complete game of the season on Sunday. They have been a much better team with Dalton at the helm.

adam
Bears by double digits. Thinking of the best players on each team, the superstars are who win it for you. The Bears basically have the edge in 18 of 22 positions. The 4 spots the Panthers have the edge are on the O-Line (go figure). So if those 4 spots are more important than the other 18, the Bears will have to move to Milwaukee. Offense vs Offense Williams, Swift, Roschon, Kmet, Moore, Allen, Odunze vs Dalton, Hubbard, Sanders, Tremble, Johnson, Thielen, Leggette Defense vs Defense Sweat, Billings, Dexter, Hardy, Edmunds, Edwards, Johnson, Stevenson, Gordon, Sanborn, Byard, Brisker vs Clowney, Robinson, Tuttle, Peevy, Harris, Jewell, Cherelus, Jackson, Horn, Woods, Scott The closest they have is Johnson CB1 (78.8 PFF) vs Horn CB1 (65.2 PFF) and that is not even close. adam
Panthers listed 19 players on their injury report. That team is beat up, the Bears need to go for the juggler and destroy this team. Fly to Europe on Monday after a great game. The flight will be so much better with a dominating win. They will have all backup LBs and some of their O-Line may be out or limited. Bears by 20! They have a good OL, can run the ball and Dalton is not terrible. they have only 1 TO in the last 2 games. So if we win , even by 3 points, lots of people will be saying what a terrible team we have. I dont care if we win 17-16, with a rookie QB and if he has a couple TOs, it could be close.

I feel like this is going to be Caleb's coming out party game, 300+ yards, multiple TDs, no picks, offense humming. Two 300-yard passing games in your first 5 games as a rookie would be impressive. Daniels' high is 254 and that is the only game he has over 250.

Heck no, if they change their plan it might make him look better for a few games, but eventually defense will scheme to take that half of the field and then what. Let him learn how to play the whole field now and when the game starts slowing down for him he will be harder to contain covering 54 yds compared to 27 yds (width of field). Next year they can reinforce the o-line and they need to really dig deep into blocking assignments and make sure the players they have know them amd can do them. Otherwise the player(s) or the scheme needs fixed.

I thought this was crazy in PIT. During the Steelers press conference, Fields literally said he will not change the play at the LOS. WOW. Quote "It just depends on the play call, but yeah, if we have a run play call, then we are going to stick with that play call. One thing I’m not gonna do, you know our offense doesn’t roll like that. I put my full trust in Arthur to get us in the right place at the right time,” Fields said on Thursday. That is why Daniels is having some early success being super efficient using a college-style offense. However, the defense always adjusts. Look at Kyler and Kingsbury in AZ. It looked amazing for about a year and a half, but fell off so bad they fired Kingsbury. Same with Chip Kelly in PHI. Kelly got 2 years, then got fired in season in his 3rd. The best option is to mix it up IMO.

With whoever you want to blame for the rough start, CW is the key to the mistakes and will be the key to future wins. As much as the OL has played bad, the Panthers has 3 first round picks on the OL and they are a bad team. However a GM wants to build a winner, its about the complete picture not the individual position groups.

adam
Waldron's scripted plays are terrible. I called the first two plays, Allen in motion, zone, will throw to Allen. Almost intercepted. 2nd play, gonna be a run for sure. 3rd play, everyone running the same depth of route, no one open, sack.
