Maybe it wasn't Waldron

Most people gave Waldron credit for Geno's resurgence. With Waldron gone, Geno now leads the NFL in passing yards (averaging 295.5 per game), which is on pace for over 5K. He has 19 completions more than the 2nd QB and has thrown for 57 1st Downs in 4 weeks.

Kenneth Walker's Yards per carry his first two seasons (with Waldron): 4.6 and 4.1. This year: 5.7.

Metcalf is on pace for career bests in yards and receptions

Smith-Njigba, who was critical of Waldron in the offseason, has 25 receptions in 4 games, on pace for over 100. He had 63 last year.

Charbonnet, mainly a 3rd Down back, is on pace to quadruple last season's receiving numbers.

Seattle has a top 10 scoring and yardage offense this year with a Defensive Head Coach.

Its never as black and white as that. Who was injured Last yr ? Walker missed 5 games. They have a new headcoach, if they drafted well , the upgrade of the roster. He may of had an effect on it, but to say he is responsible for the difference is a reach.

Oh for sure, but you do see it around the league. It might not be ALL on Waldron, but some of those jumps in performance seem outside of a normal bump.

I would totally agree with you but they got a new HC. That has more of a bump. There is questions about how good Waldron is but I think we need to see a whole season instead of judgements after every game.

I will give Waldron the benefit of the doubt, but as long as each quarter of the season is better than the previous one, the Bears should be in the thick of the playoff race and a WC spot the entire season and it will probably come down to Week 18.

Seattle fans were happy about seeing Waldron go and Grubb takeover.  Grubb put together some great offenses at the University of Washington.  There is plenty to read on the internet.  I went searching after the hire and made a comment about not getting too excited about Wheres Waldo.  He won't be taking the job from Flus.  If anything the Bears have Thomas Brown who did some learning under McVay as his assistant HC.

I think its to early to make judgements on whether Waldron is good or not. As Adam said each quarter needs to be improved. We are 2-2 and the best projections were us 3-1 at this time. I think we are right on track for a winning season and lots of fans are just overrreacting to a slow start. Waldron has been a OC before and had imited success but had the experience. I think a better choice than someone that has never did it before.
