adam Posted yesterday at 12:31 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:31 PM I believe the Legion of Boom was notorious for this, but did anyone watch the MNF game last night? Detroit's defense has seemed to adopt the Legion of Boom's tactics of holding and DPI on every play knowing the refs won't call them all. They basically conditioned the officials during the game to allow DPI later in the game, and it worked. There were at least 3 no-calls that were easy DPI calls that changed the outcome of the game. Carlton Davis (DET DB) is also allowed to yell in the face of officials, touch them multiple times, but Marsh (PIT game a few years ago) can get bumped by an official and he is called for a penalty? Super weird, but if the Bears have to deal with those type of calls against the Lions this year, it's going to be some bad losses.
AZ54 Posted yesterday at 01:30 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:30 PM And they still gave up 29pts?

Metcalf was interfered with or held on every play, and when Davis was called for it, he complained, touched the ref, and never got a flag. Very fishy. Stinger226 Posted yesterday at 02:00 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 02:00 PM The officiating is inconsistent . In our last game Wright was called for lining up wrong but if you watch KC, their RT almost does it every play. Hopefully we get good crews bucause our margin of error is delicate until we get better.

That was a tough penalty - probably cost us points as we had a big 1st down conversion on that play and I think ended up punting instead post penalty. In week one they made that call against the Ravens several times yet ignored the Chiefs RT Taylor who is well known for his cheating stance in pass pro. It is interesting because the two undefeated teams are the ones who don't get the calls against them. DET and KC. So if you look at the current penalty count, DET and KC should have at least 10 more.
