That last play was disgusting. No WR got anywhere near open. I thought that would be a strength. They need to step up if we get another chance.

for sure - the team has to learn to toughen up against harder opponents. Maybe we can do that before the game slips away, or maybe it happens in practice this week, but Id sure like to steal this one.

Why not throw the flag. That was stupid. There is only one reason that Daniels was rushing to get the play off. That has probably lost is the game.

Flus isn't good at 4th and 1, timeouts and challenges. Of course that's not the main problem today, but it's still true.

The 4th and 1 over-aggressive mistake is something he keeps doing. We also have lots of stupid penalties and come out flat in the first quarter.

I dont love him as head coach, but today it's the players that need to do better.

Helps whe the reds allow defenders to get held and tackled in the backfield

either way we did not deserve to win this game

totally agree on both points. holding on the OL, and we didnt deserve to win today.

I half expected this, as we meet tougher opponents, we are going to have to learn to elevate ourselves to match and overtake them. Hard lessons.

Of course Daniels gets the lucky hail mary. Of course, the Bears defense implodes after their QB leads what should have been a game winning drive.

It has never been clearer that this team has a major coaching deficit issue, and this loss is 100% on Ryan Poles for not seeing the obvious in the off-season to get rid of Matt Eberflus. What a joke of a team.

The players share a lot of blame for this one, but there is no doubt we are a poorly coached team.

It was clear from the start that Washington came into the game with intensity and the Bears came in flat and sluggish. It took more than 3 quarters of play to wake up. There is plenty of blame to throw around.  The only thing that kept us in the game was our red zone D. And some key stops late to give us a chance.  Play calling was bad through and reared it’s ugly head at the least opportune times especial with that goal line trick play in a potentially game deciding play.  What made that play wise was had the defender not been touched no one chased the play down. Watching a group of slow defensive players jog to the end zone is embarrassing.  We need to figure out a way to start faster it’s like we always start slow.  We could have gone into halftime down 21-0.  We struggled to overcome a 12 point deficit.

We nearly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

it’s one game but this should serve as a learning opportunity.  You don’t get to face the jags every week.  We have to play better from top down if want to compete in our division and conference.  I guarantee the Lions, Packers, and Vikings will put up a fight. We will have to be able to elevate our game when things get tough. That’s what winners do.

Preach. 100% - our coaches suck, and we need to learn how to play tough.

Coaches Coach, Players Play.

I see no reason to blame the coaches., coordinators, Flus, or Poles.

Caleb was 10/24 for 131 yds. Not good!!! If he hadn't missed so many easy throws, WAS would not have had a chance to win with a hail Mary.

Daniels was 21/38 for 326 yds. He showed he can see the entire field, throw deep, and play ball even when in pain. Very impressive.

And I am 100% positive our Flus & Williams did not instruct their defensive backs to line up on the 5-yard line and play volleyball.

LOL

there's tons of blame to go around. The coaches are not good.

The call to Kramer was a joke.
The 4th and 1 in the 2nd quarter was an error. Punt there. Instead they gave away an easy FG.
Kmet was on the bench for too much of the 4th qtr
We were running too much out of shotgun
We came out flat in the first qtr after a bye
He should have thrown the challenge flag, even if just to damper the momentum
allowing that out on the second to last play totally unchallenged set up the hail mary
And as you say, they didnt tell the players to play the hail mary that way, but they did - thats discipline and teaching - in other words COACHING.
Delay of game, false start, personal foul, illegal formation - all discipline penalties.

And in general the team was flat and not prepared.

This was on the players AND the coaches. Flus, Waldron and Morgan are NOT good.

When you lose everyone takes shots.

On the last play, two people were held that allowed Daniels to make that throw. One DB is suppose to play behind everyone(called the Savior) to prevent that play from happening.  The last play was on the DB.

Lots of blame to go around:

CW played terrible

Somec bad play calls

Flus made some bad decisions.

We have a top 5 defense, 4 FGs for the second best scoring team until the Hail Mary

The OL had some bad play and 2 starters were gone.

I totally accepted a loss until the last 5 minutes gave me hope. We took the lead with seconds left and the game blow up.We didnt deserve to win but we were 2 seconds away from a victory.

I think we will win and lose on the basis of the developement of our rookie QB. We are just not there yet.

I could give a damn good rebuttal to every point you made, but it would be useless.

According to you, anything that goes wrong is the fault of coaching.

I expected that because you had made up your mind before the season even began that Flus sucks and should have been replaced.

IMHO, that is ****

But again, it would be a waste of my time to try to convince you otherwise.

It's one of those things where we will have to accept "irreconcilable differences" 😉
