It's the terrible route concepts by Waldron. I have no clue what he is trying to do. No routes across the middle, no quick slants, ever.

Bears best defenders are made of glass. This defense without Sweat is horrible. They simply can't compete with anybody without Sweat, Brisker, and Gordon.

Bogus call on Dexter gives Cards +4 pts, stupid TD at end of half +7, thats 11 pts. Then the safety. That is 13 pts making it a 16-9 game.

why did we abandon the run (again?) it was working pretty well early. Tony Dungy would have won this game. 17-13

as for going for it on the 4th and 11, I said outloud to my GF before the snap "I dont disagree with this one, as much as Ive hated all the 2nd qtr choices"

We really missed Sweat today, Murray had all day back there.

But most of all, beside abandoning the run, our WRs were never open. Waldron sucks.

Maybe new coaches could help?

I think the tean has given up on Flus, lackluster defense, another bad game by CW. 

I seen a commentator say that that Hail Mary can bring a team together or tear it apart. Guess what happened?

Im all; in on letting him go now. Get rid of Waldron too. Tom Brown the QB coach has called plays in the NFL before. Make Williams the DC and have Jon Hoke be the new head coach.

Also time to hold players accountable. CW has been bad in the last 2 games except for 8 minutes. He misses WRs and holds the ball to long. They say having a new coach going into his second year is tough on a young QB. 

Trade CW get some 1st round picks and have a new QB, new coach, new OC and start fresh next year with everyone on the same page. 

What say you?

Well I think Eberflus shouldnt be here next year, but as far as finishing out this year, I dont care as much. If we think a new coach could still save the season, then thats an argument for sure, Im not sure i can see that?

Actually I am not being sarcastic. Im tired of this crap. I want all new. It takes me longer than you guys to get negative but I am now and its not pretty. 

We need to make everyone accountable , coaches coach(bad) and players play, we cant just blame this on coaches.

Maybe tommorrow, I will think the other coaches can save CW  but anyone saying he's playing well  right now is lying to themselves.

CW is just getting started and has already shown more in this circus than any Bears QB in a long time.

Just like we gave both Fields and Eberflus 3 years, Caleb should surely get more time.

I still think he can be one of the best NFL QBs ever.

OK here yeah it's everywhere - that is a HUGE problem. He is acting like a child. Apparently happened on Wednesday.

I guess having a tough season is good int he long run - you find out who your warriors are (and arent cough Davis) including coaches. We will be a stronger team as we remove the losers.

And we get to see where the team's head and pride is at, how strong they come out. If they come out flat again now, that is really on Eberflus and Poles needs to take note of all of it, players included.

This runs a risk of going really south real fast. Sucks that they misread on Flus but I am we see some of these vets pull it together.

I think I would trade Keenan and a few others potentially.

Caleb has a way to go for sure. Hes young, and just learning, even in this circus, but even last week, as awful as everything was, he found a way to drive in the 4th quarter to win the game for us TWICE.

coaching is a huge part of winning, and the only way to beat the better teams. Of course you need players too. i think our roster is actually pretty good right now. The OL is a disaster, but we are doing pretty well in a bunch of areas.

Yeah Caleb was due to have some bad games. Seeing him struggle on road with banged up oline is not a surprise. Especially with how much they have thrown at him. I am not worried about Caleb but I do worry about rest of the team. Vets got to get together and lock this down…let’s get a win next week and battle to 9 wins. At this point I think 9 wins is a great outcome….at least 8 hopefully. 
 

Keeps team rolling and building while at same time no shock if they decide to pick a new coach to lock up with Caleb.

The oline can’t pick up a blitz and the wide outs outside of Rome aren’t getting open. Coaching is a lot - the dline was also burned all day. Does it have talent sure - but right now I see more chirp and less play….i prefer my players back it up on field….this is where real leaders stand up…pretend leaders wilt.,.I hope this team has some real leaders.

yeah, and I havent watched the all 22 yet, but it didnt look like anyone was open.

But the big question - why get away from the run game? It was working pretty well for us. Instead, we were behind the chains the whole game.

all true. we really missed Sweat, but it would have been nice to see some pride, especially from our D tackles all day long. For a while their all their running plays looked like perfect video game examples of perfect blocking. Like it was on a chalkboard. We need to be more disruptive. And at some level, that's a pride thing.

They get away from run game, can’t figure how to use 3 solid backs, and last 2 weeks have forgotten about this dude named Kmet. Plus they have a guy in Moore who they should have more designed for him and don’t do it. 

Defensively today was ugly but they were pretty banged up. Flus has generally been good there but him not owning up to his late game mistakes last week really was stupid.

I agree with all of this. Like I said before, Tony Dungy would have won this game 17 - 13

Herbert has been a healthy scratch the last two weeks.

Kmet has 1 target in the last two weeks.

Every Bears Beat Reporter should be fired for gaslighting us all offseason. There is no way this dysfunction was not visible in the offseason. 

 

The Bears are 4-4, but 1.5 games out of the last WC spot with the hardest schedule remaining. They will be lucky to win 3 games. I am projecting 6-11.

We played bad that is on coaches and players. Listen to Olin Kreutz speak the truth on the SCORE on Audacy. At some point injuries come into play, 2 starters gone in the secondary, no Sweat(huge), Billings went out early. The OL affects everything on the offense. 

It is clear the blow up from the Washington game has lingered into this week. Flus has lost the team, he needs to be gone but as some suggested, CW development would not  be benefited by throwing in a  new coach. We just may be stuck with this until next year. 

We have to remember the most important need this year is to develop CW. Hopefully we picked the right QB. I have doubts now. We had the same talk last yr with Fields having a new play caller. Sometimes its the player.

I agree, the hangover from the Washington game has instilled a lack of cofidence and doubt. The savage media keeps up the chaos from that game. We have a snowball that is turning into an avalanche. 

How do we correct it?

Can we get a draft pick for Stevenson? If so, pull the trigger now (don't repeat the Velus mess) and send a message to the "professionals" on the team AND get something for him.
