Waldron gone

We wont know the effect of the change for a few games, but at least they are admitting, its jacked up. From what I hear, part of the problem  Waldron was giving to much responsability to Caleb, allowing he to change plays and call line adjustments. You cant give him 4 options every play , he keeps trying to go downfield to much with a bad line.

Keys:   run the ball-30 times

2 TE sets to help with blocking / RPOs

Only give him 2 WR options dump offs to TEs, leave back in to block.

          Roll outs and designed runs

Like I thought, Thomas Brown was promoted within to be new OC. We'll see if it makes a difference.

Also, Stinger, can you share a link to the source that says they gave Williams too much independence?

It was the Score talking to Olin Kreutz and later in the day with Dave Wannsted. Here is a video that explains some of the problems in the game.

I don’t know why it’s so difficult to understand. We’ve only been saying this for years.

The roll outs and designed runs is what kills me the most. Fields was lightning in a bottle, and they barely ever rolled out. Williams isn’t exactly slow, and yet it’s 99% drop back.
