Also requested interview with Los Angeles Rams passing game coordinator and assitant head coach Aubrey Pleasant for the defensive coordinator position, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bears-to-interview-rams-assistant-head-coach-for-defensive-coordinator-position/ar-AA1xGJ98?ei=
BearFan PHX
Hmm - heavy on the back end, no experience with either on the DL.
Stinger226
I heard Dennis Allen had ties to Campbell in Detroit and will interview for that job. I'm not sure who he will hire but rumors aren't the best place to get information from. Being early in the hiring cycle, I'm confident he will get good coaches here. I will say I want aggressive defensive coaches, I would prefer a few big plays given up but more sacks would create more TOs. We have a good back 7 and with Gordon and Brisker healthy that will happen.
Mongo3451
Interesting. Both coaches are DB and passing game. Never saw this coaching duty combo before...

I agree - I wonder if they mean defensive passing game EDIT: yup, I went and looked on the Vikings website and their TEs coach is also listed as passing game coordinator, so I guess this is defense against the pass, and not a defensive / offense hybrid position?
