Olin Kreutz on TTNL tonight

Olin Kreutz was on TTNL tonight, and said some really good things about Roushar, and what it takes to make an OL work in general.

In short, Kreutz has some connection to Roushar, I think he played under him somewhere, and he said he was very similar in approach and temperament to Harry Heistand, which I think is a very good thing.

Seems like we are going to be looking for players on the OL that have attitude. Finally.

We definitely need a Olin type to kick ass when things aren't going well. Rookies usually don't jump into that role for a few years. Hopefully the free agent OL can fill that role. Not sure if Trey Smith is that person, or the other few options.

exactly, one of the points Olin made (regarding Davis) was that if you pay a vet big money, you expect more than just production on the field, you gotta sign someone who will be a leader in the locker room too. And of course Davis was neither.

I wonder why Olin never got into coaching.  He's a wealth of knowledge that did it the right way.  He was show, short in height and arm length, yet excelled.  He also had an underdog mentality.  That's exactly who you want teaching up.

He is assisting Jason McKie coaching high school football I guess. I think that story is still being written, I wouldnt be surprised if he does get more into coaching.

He talked about  when Ryan Pace came into power, he was offered a OL advisor to the OL coach and the Bear's only offered him 15 and hour for that position.

That might have been the beginning of a coaching career but he told them to go **** themselves.
