AZ54
I saw someone point out that this could be a move that benefits both team and player. We have Terrell Smith who is a little stickier in man coverage than Stevenson, but less good at tackling around the LOS. Given the new defensive scheme is going to rely on man on the outside more often and our lack of depth at safety this could be a win win. I could see Stevenson playing the role Brisker has played for us and doing it well.
ASHKUM BEAR
Id like to see how the new DB coach, Al Harris, works with him. He asked Tyrique to go to a special camp this off season to work with a trainer that helped elevate the Cowboys backfield.
Mongo3451
It's kinda funny because when we drafted Smith, I questioned whether converting him to safety was the reason. I like Stevenson to stay at corner because of his physicality in the route. He showed tremendous upside in his rookie season and my expectation is that he'll get back to that. Stinger226
I think there's enough talented coaches in the room now, they will sort that out. Brisker has some risk but they're not righting him off just yet. Once he got hurt, our defense tailed off. Draft a rookie and develop him. BearFan PHX
I think the biggest loss to our defense that really caused us to drop off was Billings.

The drop off was progressive, Billings was a downturn also. We were 3-2 when Brisker got hurt. The next game was the jaguars game and they clearly didn't show up. The next game was Washington where we gave up 170 yards rushing and lost, Billings played. The next game was AZ, we lost 29-9 and Billings was injured in the third quarter. Obviously we were on a losing streak. Sweat sat out the AZ game also. The combo of several injuries pushed us further in a hole and a long losing streak. I wasn't rating players value just that they affected the play of the defense.

If I had to have lost just one of the two of them, I would have chosen to lose Brisker and keep Billings though. I hope they are both healthy this year, that's the best outcome.
