adam
2 hours until we should start getting alerts from the usual suspects on social media. Last year Swift's deal was announced exactly at 11am. So I assume the Bears first deal will come in that initial madness. With 2x larger deals handed out to Thuney and Jackson already, they may go for a lesser Center upgrade than Dalman. From a money allocation standpoint, I think they may go Edge and DT with the last "bigger" deal. Then address the other positions of need in the 2nd wave. Stinger226
I predicted no Mack and no Dalman. I suspect Dalman gets a 4 yr 62 mil. To rich for us. Mildly hope I'm wrong but been pushing Evan Brown so might as well not change now.
DABEARSDABOMB
Bears have plenty of cap space and can free up quite a bit. I'm okay if they hold for one more off-season for another splurge or two...but i think Dalman is worth overpaying for. I was a big fan of Khalil Mack or someone like that on a 1yr deal. Chase Young is now who I'm guessing - say a 2YR 25M deal combined with Dalman.

With effective cap space, we can make one more large signing but unless we redo contracts we don't have enough money right now. I've seen 45 Mil flashed around. That doesn't have rookie pool money subtracted yet. That's 11 mil as of now, trade backs could reduce that. Plus, last year Poles has 7 mil for operating capital. Mack getting 18 mil and if Dalman gets 15 mil, 33 mil which is all we have in Cap space.

Yes of course but they haven't did that yet. DJ and JJ contracts has flexibility. I'm all for going for it now but Caleb's contract will be huge in 4 years. I think they keep that in mind with Cap spending.

That is why you spend now - do it on guys who have a few years in - which gives them plenty to spend in next 2-3 years and than you still are left with plenty of flexibility when it comes to making Caleb work too. DABEARSDABOMB
Super stoked - now if a young LT is there, draft them too. If not - let the competition at LT be there.
