Poles will be restructuring Moore, Sweat, and Jaylon to create more space. They are up against the cap now. He can get about $25M out of restructures. Stinger226
Poles keeps money reasonable and 2 yr outs. Wasn't he just cut today?
DABEARSDABOMB
I think all of these give the Bears quite a bit of flexibility when Caleb would be due to get paid, etc.
dawhizz
I have no idea if he’s still good, but even if he can’t pass rush like he he used to, he can still be a good run defender and the Bears were really bad stopping the run once Billings went down. I do really like that Poles has added guys on both lines (Thuney and Jarrett) who are not only good players but leaders and respected vets. There hasn’t been much good veteran leadership on the lines in a while.
BearFan PHX
And with all the obvious holes filled; OG, OC, OG, TE, DE and DT, we now have draft flexibility.
AZ54
Very surprised by this. I always liked his game just don’t know what he looked like last year and what we can expect. Are we going to cut Billings? Or will he and Grady be the NT rotation? Add 3 tech in the draft? I can think of several 2nd Rd DT who would look good in this rotation. Stinger226
Adding all pro players can't hurt even if they're not at top of their game. They can add so much to growth of young players. Cut down his rotation time.

We are set up to pick BPA. Almost anyone is on the table. Jeanty, Will Johnson, S . I think they trade back a few times and still get a Zabel, Grant, TE? Then we will be back to the trenches. The good defenses have a stud S or more edge players. If Brisker can't have a career, we can't rule that out.

You can survive with strong and long dudes who can snag the QB when he comes their way. Or who can squeeze the pocket.
