Boykin is the perfect example of why you don't trust combine results. 6'4" 220 4.42 speed great combine numbers and has flopped in the NFL.  This kind of acquisitions are just shot in the dark camp bodies that have something that looks good on paper. 

Yeah, he is a camp body for sure, especially after adding Oz and Duvernay.

I look at a player, watch a lot of tape and form an opinion. Scouts have looked at every minute, met with, interviewed , and analyze everything. They have a much better perspective than I could ever imagine to have. I don't have a big enough ego to think I am smarter than any of them. My opinion means nothing in reality.

And my statement was what scouts that have watched tape brought up as a downfall on him.  A first round pick used as a 3rd down pass rusher is a luxury right now.  Walker would need to be developed at LB or Edge to become a 3 down player.

His athletic traits are off the wall and he is a great pass rusher.  Allen might love moving him around, so it is possible.  If they think he can be a Micah Parsons, I'd be ecstatic to have him.

Any DL taken will be a rotational player, any OL will probably not start right away, anyone we take won't be a first day starter anyways. I don't want him but throwing out there that could be a surprise pick for us.

We don't know what Dennis Allen will want.  He likes a 4 man front with size, athletic LBs, and DBs that can man cover. Walker has athleticism and can give Allen that exotic blitz he likes to employ at LB.  He did mention the he likes "some pieces" at LB that the Bears have, so he sounds open to adding.  He also said there are a couple of spots up front were they have some players but will need more especially at the edge.   If they go D at 10, I think it will be a player that fits the size mold at DT/DE.  James Pierce DE is not far from fitting the measurable and he has the production.  A couple DEs rated higher just don't have the production.

I think Walker's pass rush skills are way overrated, he's more of a blitzer than edge defender.  If we draft him at 10 I'll be incredibly disappointed and I think it will signal we've returned to the Phil Emery era style of drafting. 

There are so many good players in this draft at higher impact positions he can draft before grabbing an off-ball LB.  Walker is not as fast or agile as past years smaller elite athletes like Nolan Smith who has had just 7.5 sacks in 2 seasons in Philly.  That's with a lot of good talent around him.  We're not even close to that kind of Dline talent.  

Fix the trenches.

Yeah, not surprised at all! Brisker is great, I just hope he can keep playing.

I wouldn't like Walker either but people are saying Allen would love for his speed and rush ability. I have no idea.

I'm good with Warren, Jeanty, Kenneth Grant, James Pierce, Nolen and even Matt Golden if Johnson thinks he's a valuable weapon. They are a few I don't want, otherwise I'm not complaining. I just want 4 good football players that elevate the team.

That's pretty much where I'm at.  We have more needs, as do most teams, but we have to get 4 good players out of this opportunity.  Although I want to come out of this draft feeling good about the depth in the trenches, however they choose to do it.

our main needs are the trenches for sure. I wouldnt mind adding S, WR and/or TE too. not necessarily with the first pick though.
