balta1701-A
SI has a possible look at the behind the scenes stuff. Kiffin not being allowed in buildings, Davis wanting Dennis Green, etc.

BearSox
you need one hell of a coach to turn the Raiders around...
Pixote
you need one hell of a coach to turn the Raiders around... Davis needs to sell this team. He was at one time an excellent owner. He is now a joke. Kiffen is a good man and if given a chance and the players can turn this franchise around to be respectable. The problem is Davis is too impatient and will not allow a HC time to do what is necessary to turn it around. He needs to hire a GM to make personel decisions that he is now unable to make and keep Kiffen to work with the GM to BUILD a team.

No. Like every rebuilding project in the NFL, you need an average coach, an average system, some level of patience, and a little bit of luck. If you take any one of those parts out, then you fall apart. The Raiders right now are missing the patience part. You can't rebuild if a QB and offense has to learn a new system every single year. DABEARSDABOMB
In all seriouness, if this is Al Davis plan than the only thing I see happening next is him moving the team back to LA. Afterall, that would be the only thing left that would be dumber than firing your young head coach to get a tard like Denny Green. The Kiffin hiring got a lot of heat last year but he's a good mind who did a nice job with a shit team. Davis just has no patience and is a complete tard. Pixote
You would think Davis could figure out by now it is not the problem with his HC but with his intervention in the teams affairs. He should keep Kiffen, a good man and HC, and sit back and let his HC and staff make the decisions.

Kiffin actually did fairly well with a pile of crap for a team. Peace
