RT Miller will be released

The offseason purging continues.

The Bears are going to release right tackle Fred Miller. He had two years remaining on his contract and was due a $500,000 roster bonus on March 4 with a base salary of $4 million.

Miller is the second veteran to be released along with wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad.

Miller had arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle following the season and is close to being back to 100 percent.

More on this development soon.

Here's a guy I won't miss

I just posted this in the "Schefter reports 2 more vets to be cut" or whatever it's called thread. Looks like Walk could be next...

Arch, Mike Brown, or Walker . . . it could be anyone of those 3.

For what it's worth, I'd bet on Arch. He's done in the NFL. He's short & slow.

I don't think Mike Brown is due any roster bonus, so we might as well see what will happen with him through training camp. He's a pro-bowler if healthy, and he don't cost much.

I think we'll renegotiate with Walker.

Walker is welcome back if, and only if, he renegotiates which means no 5 million dollar roster bonus in March.
