balta1701-A
When will this be again? We'll start whenever we get every team except Cleveland taken, no earlier than tomorrow. I'll give a 24 hour clock on picks at first, starting from the last pick before your team. If you don't get it in, then the next team comes up, normal draft style, and they can jump you. If we start closing in on draft day and we're still at pick 8, then we'll cut the clock.

balta1701-A
By the way, for simplicity, when we get this started, I'm going to open up a sub-forum of BearsTalk titled "Talkbears mock draft". Go there for all your mock draft needs. Also, for some fun, I think we'll try having 3 threads in there. A thread for picks only, a thread for GM type whispers/rumors, etc., and a thread for calling people (aka me) stupid and other analysis of anyone's picks. Are we going to have a master list of players that will be updated as selections are made? I have run these types of drafts in the past and I took lists from a draft site with the top ?? players at each position and put them in a locked thread. Everytime a pick was made I noted it alongside the player on the list. When people selected, they could easily see which players were remaining to be selected and their ranking per the site used. It seemed to help a lot and speed things up.

balta1701-A
Wonderful. If you don't mind, I'm stealing that post word for word. The Bucs, still going on the Bucs. Tampa Bay anyone?
Pixote
Wonderful. If you don't mind, I'm stealing that post word for word. The Bucs, still going on the Bucs. Tampa Bay anyone? No problem. We should include a link to the site I took it from NFL Draft Countdown And I would also suggest giving a couple of links for team needs: Team Needs - NFL Draft Countdown Team Needs - FootballsFuture.com Team Needs - Draft.com This always helps speed things up. NeoBear
Just so you know, I have been working a lot of hours at work, so when it is close to my pick I can send Balta a list of people to pick for me. If that is OK with you Balta.
