DABEARSDABOMB
I think right now the setting calls for only like 10 or 15 threads on each page (ie, when you go into the Bears forum, you only see 10 or 15 threads), but would people prefer a few more threads when you go to the forum as the default? The activity has been booming and with that it has forced some threads off of page 1 pretty quickly so I'm thinking if we can keep a few more on page 1 it will keep discussion going in more threads. Anyway, just give me a yeah or nay on the idea.
adam
I just change it at My Controls > Board Settings > Number of topics to show for each forum page, and change it to 40. If you are talking about a new default, then it doesn't really matter for those that have already changed theirs correct?
DABEARSDABOMB
Ya, it won't effect your settings. I assume though that most posters don't go in and customize there board settings though (although it is an option for those of you not aware of it). nfoligno
Yes, but also have to throw out a thanks to prophet. Didn't have a clue we could adjust the setting on our own, and I suspect most do not either.

BearSox
I say you change the default, because while you can manually change it, new members and not all posters will know about that option to increase it. Plus, with the draft this weekend, we are bound to have new thread after new thread.
adam
Might be a good idea to pin a topic about board features under the Help Section. I'll see what I can throw together.

Anyway, just give me a yeah or nay on the idea. Yes, I'd prefer that. Personally if I'm not actively involved in a discussion, I pretty much ignore it after it has 10 posts. For instance the "To hell with it, blow it up" thread is up to 68 posts. When I first read it there were 5. I don't want to spend an hour sorting through all that. I'd much prefer more threads on the front page. I don't know that I've ever hit page two.
AZ54
Makes no difference to me either way, I just look for posts that were updated today as I read at night.
DABEARSDABOMB
I have updated things to add a few more topics to the forums before moving onto page 2. Also, in case people aren't aware the yellow downward pointing arrow is something that identifies that there have been new posts since your last visit and if you click that arrow it will take you to the first new post which occurred since you were last at the site (its pretty helpful cause it means you don't have to scroll and try to randomly figure out where you left off a thread last). YES absolutely a good idea. the way it is now is way to small. another idea would be to delete the first group/section of permanent posts (Important Topics) and put a link just below the banner to a separate page with all this info on it. 30-40 posts in this type of format would be awsome.
