bear trap
I just saw on espn that Carolina DE Rucker(Spelled right?) just retired. Could they now target someone like harvey instead of taking o-line. Could albert or clady fall to us? If Carolina picks harvey and ryan falls to baltimore then maybe clady or if kc passes on albert this could be good news for us. I'd pass on otah, he's knocked about his footwork and may struggle in passing situations. Denver and KC could be our only spoilers, but you never know. I have a gut feeling there will be a mad run on defense after miami picks, cause once Long, Dorsey, or Gholston are taken teams will panic and go for the others first since the draft isn't as deep on de or dt or lb for that matter. I doubt it. Rucker has suffered through injuries and there was speculation that he might retire previously. This isn't exactly a shocker. That being said, as it stands, there are 5 top offensive line-man projected to go in the top 20. There's no way in hell all 5 of them go before the Bears pick. If that happens, there will be a DAMN good player to take once the Bears draft. Hell, Matt Ryan could fall. Either way, unless we "reach" for a guy, I feel like we'll be happy with whomever we pick. I'd also like to point out that I don't see any way in hell Car takes an O-lineman unless they are doing so for the sake of the future even before Rucker retired. They lost Center Hartwig and Guard Wahle which were quality starters. They resigned OT Wharten, OT Gross, OG Hangartner, OT Mathis. Acquired OG Milford Brown 2yr/5.5, OG Keydrick Vincent 2yrs/2 mil, OG Toniu Fonoti. It's been mentioned that they want to slide Wharten over to guard, but I think they have bigger fish to fry with the #1 pick.

They agreed in principle so bank on kc picking c long and leaving another o-lineman on the board for us hopefully it's albert.
HoofHearted
yes they did turn on your tv, it' s just now happened What of my 500 channels is going to have this reported? nevermind, just saw it on nfln's bottom line. I had heard they were offering this years first and third along with next years second, so that would be a no-brainer for KC.

nfoligno
I don't think they signed Gross. They have him for one year after tagging him, but he is expected to leave next year. Carolina may not have OT at the top of their list, but it seems most due feel OT is definitely on their list. They would not likely reach for an OT, but I think they have OT high enough on their need list that if they felt a stud OT was their, compared to reaching for a DL, I think they would be going OT. Might also throw out there RB seems to be a common belief need of theirs.
